I remember it being easy, but I was young and dumb. When our gx threw a code for the range sensor I was thinking I hope it isn't a pain.

I need to wax my truck with the mcguire's ceramic wax again. I did it last fall and it needs it again. I did the gx460 last weekend and it looks nice. It sprinkled today and the water beaded like a boss on the hood. I gently wiped the drops off and it still looks clean. Smells good too.

My top choices for an off road vehicle other than a jeep would be a 3rd gen 4runner or a first gen taco with 33s or so and a locker. That would do most of our trails. I would also consider an 80 series. It is straight up jumanji around here so paint on any off road vehicle looks terrible.

No just that one. I used some other waxes before that, but the mcguire's ceramic seems to last pretty well. My truck still looks like it has wax on it from 6 months ago. It doesn't look amazing, but it seems to still have some wax on there. It had goods reviews on big gurl and wasn't too expensive. That was why I tried it.

I'm sure it's easier in Utah  15 years of dirt and rust is what made it difficult. Couple that with the fact it's plastic so you can't pry on it made it unpleasant.

Does anybody think something like this would be good for a pink milkshake mitigation effort? I'm thinking using a heat transfer like this and running an external cooler. Thought? https://www.ebay.com/itm/3x7-5-Braz...Brackets-MPT-BSP-FPT-Ports-/233571922990?var=

True. Then again that was 10 or so years ago and today that same jeep would be hard to change. We have salt, but we are fortunate enough to not have every winter actually be a winter. Some years we just get little storms and some years you drive in the muck for months. Last season was light and barely rusted my sliders that had chipped and exposed bare metal. As long as the mountains do good, we are alright.

I vote you build a truck shower instead. I have one setting here waiting for me to get it done.

Is pink milk shake an issue for the 4.7? I feel like the issue was overblown in the 3.4, but maybe not.

Looks similar to the one I got off big gurl. Good price though. Just wish someone made a tap signal relay that's under $40. It's a tough sell for me to buy a $55-60 smarttap.
I would do a shower if I had a bumper mounted tire carrier. I think the factory spare tire area looks good for a water tank.

I honestly love the smart tap my man. Forgetting to turn off the signal after a Lan change is a thing of the past.

If you watch any of my videos ever then you know I change lanes frequently.

I have that little grey money sponge...I try to keep the truck/suv reasonable.
Try being the operative in that sentence.

Little grey car beats on a body pretty well. The long wheelbase of the Tundra is very nice for freeway use.

Yeah, I feel you on the big engine build gone awry. I once built a big dollar stroker M20 for a BMW e30...and never even installed it. I included it in a deal that traded that car for a different one. To say it was a poor financial decision would be a sizable understatement.

Following up on this post from yesterday.

I looked at the white TJ. It was about $5k rougher than pictured/priced. I didn't bother starting it or driving it. Hard pass in ~60 seconds.
Next to it was a white 2dr JK with ~53k miles. Super clean, 35s, bumpers, full size spare, bunch of lights on it, leather(esque?) interior. I drove that.

Here's what I learned. I don't want to daily drive any Jeep. I have had 3 XJs in the past and I hated them all. I had a 3rd gen T4R that I loved, but it was slow as a MFer...and I hated that.
The Tundra is pretty close to perfect, save it being a bit larger than I prefer my vehicles.
So I talked with my beautiful wife and at this time, I'm just going to double-down on the Tundra and actually start modifying it to my taste/needs.

So if anyone has any SCS F5s in 17x9 (3.5BS) let a guy know.

It does look awesome. Luckily for me the tundra signal arm doesn't need to be pushed all the way to make the lights work. I usually do my own smart tap by just holding it for 2-5 signals.

Yeah. I’ve become so used to this Lane Change Technique that a Smaht Tap would mess me up.

so I just sold my old tire/wheel setup and noticed after the buyer pointed it out some serious tire cupping issues on two of the tires. I know that my alignment was checked a while back and good to go but I'm worried about my new tires and don't wanna mess them up. I don't think it had to due with two bent rims so I'm assuming my lower/upper controls arm bushings are to blame as I have new strut tops and shocks within the last 10K miles. These tires only had 9,000 miles on them and were rotated once already but the shop didn't say anything to me then. 209K miles on the truck so I think lower/upper arms are a good idea anyways? Any other advice techs?

    edit:
oh and I have new inner/outer tie rods

@empty_lord, I'm assembling my overhaul components list for the Tundra.
I intend to replace the bushings in the LCAs.
How awful of a job am I setting myself up for?
I have a press and a welder and a whole host of tools. I feel like I've read somewhere that it's nearly impossible, but I have a long list and need to spend carefully.
    Any input/advice here?

    Agony or Pleasure?

Agony is pressing the bushings plus $$$ for them.

Pleasure is buying new LCA and plug and play after Agony to cut off the old ones.

Some guys do it with the bottle jack in the truck.. I’ll have to find the post

Personally I went with arms from Napa... they’ve been fine. Granted the old ones were bent

Agony is having to cut out the old frozen alignment bolt hardware with a sawzall and the wrong cutting blades only to switch over to diamond coated blades because you’re making no progress. Been there, done that.

I had bought a two pack of 30 blades. 60 total.

    :spending:

If I had a do over I'd just have used the Diablo only. Lenox has a comparable blade which can be found at Blowes

My local mom/pop hardware store carries the Diablo, but they are three times the price they are online.
