Which is covered in the article. That’s the reason I have it. Colorado trails can be very dusty. I just posted that to appease the people who think it’s just for driving in rivers. Plus it looks cool.

 

Hey Andy, nice truck, especially the color.

1. The plastic dot I had in the center of my dash was not a light sensor. It was just a piece of plastic in the place where a sensor would go. Fortunately the wiring to connect to the new sensor was connected to this piece so after I popped the existing one out with a tiny flat head screwdriver, I was able to plug the new one in and slide it right in. The whole thing took less than a minute. I tested it out and it works. Now I will be able to see my head unit when I turn my headlights on during the day.

2. Neither charger install was too difficult. For the installation of the charger tray I watched a Youtube video that walked me through it and the instructions for the USB I found on a post from Tundras.com. Both installs start with the removal of the rear piece of the center console with a trim removal tool. You need to partially open the top of the console to get it off properly.

 

How do you like it? I am thinking about adding one to my truck.

So far I like it. I had one on my 100 series and this is just as good. The stencil lined up perfectly and the quality is on par with the safari for less $. Plus this one seems to be a little less bulbous than the safari. I will say cutting the big oval hole is more challenging than the round hole in other trucks I’ve done.

 

I mean....come on....of course the color is awesome! I'll be ceramic coating mine in a month or so too.
But thanks for the info. I've considered doing the usb charger to quick charge. I don't have a phone to wireless charge, which is no big deal. I really don't need to charge in my truck often anyway, but there's been a time or 2 it would been helpful. I'll have to see about tackling that soon. Thnx again bud.

What brand tint did you use? I have tried numerous times to lay some tint on my lights with no success. While I’m no pro with vinyl, I find it much easier to work with on the body. Any tips for the lights!

Washed it Friday. It stayed clean for a few days. Already rained again.

Best window visor? I dont want the round ones you have to fold back up. I like the solid one that fold across. Anyone recommend what they use and like?

Yeah, I considered it but went ahead and sold it to a better home. I am happy with stock exhaust.

 

Got a teaser pic of the seats that will be arriving Thursday! Turned out even better than I had imagined, can't wait to get them installed in the truck this weekend (at least the back seats, may not get to the fronts until the following weekend)

 

if you’re referring to the windshield sunshade...

my personal favorite is from “Heat Shield Store” (heatshieldstore.com), similar can be had from weathertech. I’ve had my hands in the CoverCraft visors and are fairly impressive as well, not sure of long term durability for the CC units, but Ican personally attest to owning the HSS units for 10+ years of daily use.
