No, but here is what I will say, I want to make an adapter between my plate and the BDS lifts, BDS lifts cut out everything I bolt too with my plate

    :(

But please keep the thread updated if you figure something out.

I wish I could booby trap mine somehow in the interim!

I know some members have mentioned movement activated bike alarms that could be used to deter thieves in the meantime.

You place it on your exhaust whenever you park your car for the night and it would sound an alarm if it senses movement or vibration.

Yeah, I have a Ring total security system and was thinking of a way to put one of the motion detection things such that it would detect someone under there. Man i would love to catch one of those MF'ers

My problem is I will never remember to move it before driving away :homer:

Received my plates today, they look good. If a thief had as much trouble removing them as I did getting them out of the cardboard and strapping tape I think they would just move on to something easier.

Here is my temporary solution to install the rear bracket with P&P rock sliders. The sliders move the bracket out about 1/2” so I 3D printed some spacers out of carbon fiber infused ABS. The spacers felt solid, but I’ll make some spacers out of Aluminum or fab some longer brackets when I have more time.0212F4D1-46E0-412C-941F-C9D4332C6436.jpg A67EFF8C-6AF4-42BD-827E-2A3B2AA6CC58.jpg 11649A18-5CC1-4FEC-A424-81ABCFF3D227.jpg

I have 46 plates coming out of powder coat Wednesday, I am fairly confident your order is there. I am also meeting with another powder coater tomorrow to test them out.
If I can get reliable and decent time framed powder coaters on board, I can kill these nasty lead times... I shipped an order out today from March 15, but this was a special order. I never intended to have a lead time longer than 3 weeks... I plan to empty my trailer with all the powder coated plates before the weekend by either shipping them or having local people pick up their orders, now that I have a helper, I am getting more done

This is exactly why I went with Tyler's solution and told Toyota their solution was half baked because they are only installing plates to cover the front cats. They are hoping that will deter thieves enough to sell the vehicles, but they really need to offer a rear plate as an add on. They could make a bunch of money if they offered and and you know they can afford it.

Desert Eagle is a guy that makes a different front plate. He is not on the forum.

Toyota does not make or offer plates. They were buying batches of Desert Eagle plates and reselling them.

Understood...regardless, their solution isn't comprehensive and I reported it to Toyota corporate that this was the case. Of course it won't change anything, but their service department was providing wrong information that it was a comprehensive solution and would deter rear cat theft which it cannot.

Yeah the front plate helps but if a thief was an ass he would cut the rear pipes just to cost you money for repairs. I have a front and rear along with actual security bolts. I told our local dealer to watch their trucks. They parked about a dozen of them in an unfenced overflow lot and they all got hit a few days ago.

I’d like to first thank @Tundra234 and @Classy63 for all the help. They answered all my questions.

Also want to thank @MoonRock2021 for helping provide security bolts via screwed.

I received my Valhalla rear shield on Tuesday and finally was able to mate it up with my front DE plate (desert eagle) - which i purchased prior to Valhalla selling his. I’m satisfied with the DE plate, but I definitely would have bought both plates from Valhalla if I didn’t already own the other one.

I drilled into the rear section of the DE plate to mount the Valhalla rear plate through and up into the crossmember.

Do they still have that law in Texas that you can shoot someone if you catch someone messing with your truck?

Under the license to carry legal information you learn, you are allowed to protect your personal property with lethal force if under a situation of aggravated robbery the thief is caught by you either attempting or after the act and seeks to cause bodily harm vs just running away. I'm not sure whether you are allowed to pursue and shoot them down.

Full disclosure: I have an LTC.
