Me again...really appreciate the fast and numerous replies to my towing question--this forum is great!

On the Tundra I'm looking at (2014 Limited, 85K miles), it appears the original owner never had the transfer case or differential fluid changed. I plan to take the truck to a shop before I buy, so can a decent mechanic identify problems if I ask him to check those?

I don't believe the orig owner put much stress on the truck, and I'm not thrilled that he didn't have that work done, but I also don't want to overworry about it. I've been driving an '05 Sienna for 14 years. I've done a good (not great) job of maintaining it, and it still drives like it did in '06. I love Toyotas!
