Yes. Fully functional. 6’ wide. Took two days to get her together and hung. She has so many blades and they are high angled which throws a nice Carib Breeze on low speed. Hanging a light assy from the bottom tomorrow.

I was fully on board with this fan until you said 'hang a light from it'. Now I'm sad.
That fan is rad, but a light will make it too busy IMO.

We've got 2 of their 24 footers over the pool at work. At 50% they'll create waves.

 

You would think. I'm in more of the "upscale" trailer hood. I'm the only one with vehicles on jack stands.

 

I've hung a few of those. Nothing like running a 240v 30A circuit for a fan. They come with their VFDs and everything. Very cool. Pun intended.

We have a lot of dog people around here. We have a really old Cairn who keeps kicking butt. He is almost 15. He still goes on hikes with us. He can't hear the thunder but all the other bits seem to be working right.

My wife pretty much stopped traveling for work so we decided we would pick up a covid throw away dog last year. The dog was 2 and hadn't experienced planet earth so literally everything we did blew her mind. We didn't camp for the first 3 months or so while we got her up to speed. We have a good foundation. Loose leash walking and hiking,She can swim now and will willing swim across a river to get to a trail. She has really solid stays and recalls. I am really looking forward to this year.

Do any of you use those retractable leashes? If so throw that garbage away. Those are the best for training your dog to pull on the leash all the time. They set you up for a lifetime of embarrassment.

Many private campgrounds have no pit bull rules. Some of those also have non German shepherd rules. Shepherds are some of the most trainable dogs. Dog trainers use shepherds because those dogs can make dog trainers look really good. The problem is most people don't train them. Then the bread characteristics shine through. Shepherds were bred to round up the farm animals once in a while. The rest of the time they are supposed to hang out on the farm and annihilate anything that does not belong. If you want a well socialized, portable shepherd it will require work to get there.

With that said Labs are the best dog by a mile. Dogs are man's best friend (I have personally confirmed this on multiple occasions) but labs are on a different level.

Do we have any dog trainers here? My last big hurtle is is meeting/greeting other dogs on leash.

 

Yeah. I was going to talk them out of it, but the client really wanted it. Golden Rule when it comes to others personal taste.

I watch a lot of YouTube.
My YT programming consists of Porsche stuff, Jeep/OffRoad stuff, and MTB stuff.
The 911 isn't anywhere near finished, but it's nearly to the point that I don't NEED to dump big bucks in it to keep the project evolving. (until I get to paint...if I ever get to paint)
My MTB is pretty dialed.
This leaves my stock-ass, grandpa-status Tundra. I gotta tell you guys, I've got the itch to make some bad decisions with regards to truck-stuff. I want to be able to have mucho fun all year 'round and that means the truck's off-road capability needs a boost.

Here's my quandary.
Do I dump $10k to $15k into the truck (parts only) and do the full suspension and armor?
or
Do I dump the truck and pile the same $10k to $15k into a Jeep? (YJ most likely)

It's flat as a MFer where I live, but we have a few off-road parks within an hour of home and I do like to travel this big, beautiful country by car/truck/suv.
I also worry that the truck is bit long for off-road activities...and it's definitely a bit nice for rubbing it on rocks/trees.

Please discuss.

 

Worst part. It's 2wd. Boooo. Lifted poser mobile. Waste of some nice King coily's. Coil bucket and spindle spacers on this thing are scary for sure.

 

Our trucks can be really capable off road but you could sink a lot less money into a Jeep to have it be more capable. Around here our trails can get really narrow and there have been times when I wished I had a Jeep. That said, I'd prefer an old one that I could beat up without feeling bad. I just wouldn't expect it to be that reliable but if it's just a trail rig I don't care.

 

Yeah, if I were to buy a Jeep, it'd either be a YJ (cheap) and I could build it at home, or it'd be an LJ Rubicon (not cheap) that I wouldn't have to modify hardly at all.
Either way, it's the same or less money and a better fit for trails.

 

I have a feeling even if it had a front differential it would very quickly make itself 2WD if you know what I mean. At least it still has a sway bar?

 

I haven't been called a feral CA animal since high school. That made me feel young again, then old again.

Previous owner took the 3" plush toilet seat covers with them when they left. Reminds me of @Professional Hand Model 's seat covers. Looks comfy.

 

Around here a long vehicle and large turning radius is hard on paint. I take pride in my truck looking, sounding and being nice. If your trails are like ours, build the yj and tow it with the tundra.
