I have, as the title says, an '08 DC SR5 with the standard single CD radio. I am wondering if any of the newer (09-12) radio models have the song artist/title text display as a function. My present stock radio does not have this function, and if possible I would like to upgrade to a newer stock radio that does. I am not interested in an aftermarket replacement, and do not need any better audio function (I have tinnitus, so any superior audio enhancement is a waste to me) I already have a portable GPS, and the overhead console back-up camera installed, so those functions in an aftermarket unit are also not needed. All I am looking for is the song artist/title displayed when that info is imbedded in the broadcast by the radio station, and for the unit to fit into the existing dashboard space my current radio occupies. So, I am looking to replace my current radio with a newer model with this function, that is plug-n-play for my dash.

    Thanks for any help.
OK since I didn't get an answer to my original question, I will try another tact. Can anyone tell me what, if any, is the difference between the stock '07-'10 radio (AD1804) and the newer AD1812 radio? From pics, it appears that the AD1812 will swap right in to my '08 (connectors look to be the same). Just wondering if the newer radio has any different/added functions from the older one?

My aftermarket Kenwood headunit does what you are looking for, and was a simple plug and play, (as long as you get the right harness). Contraire to you re impression of tinitus, my tinitus doesn t inhibit my decernment of sound quality, or diminish my love for the clairity a good headunit, or sound processor can provide. If my tinitus does anything it represents a barrier to overcome, and I can t do it with stock equipment...but good luck in your endevor:hattip:

Thanks, but I already know where to get one. I only want to know if the newer model has the functions I am looking for before I get it. If the newer radios do not have those functions, there is no need to buy one.
