2016 Tundra Limited with tow package. All lights work on the truck and trailer, but the brake lights on the trailer don’t work. Checked fuses etc, no luck. Any thoughts? One thing I should mention, aftermarket LED headlights installed by a shop.

Do the trailer signal lights work?

All the trailer lights and electric brake work, just no trailer brake lights. I tested the 7 pin connector and the problem is on the truck side. A shop added LED reverse lights also. No fuses blown, that we can find, but we have trace brake lights, just not at the plug.

I feel that someone cut the brake light wire to the connector, yet we have directionals.

Brake lights and left / right signal (directionals) lights are the same 2 pins on the trailer connector, they are combined. So since they are working, the issue is forward of the 7 pin socket.
