Went for a hike with the fam today. Got about 2 miles in with the 1 year old on the backpack deal and decided I was tired. Wife drove there and I drove home. Really liking the gx. The wife even likes it. We need a hitch because the whole time I was thinking it would be great to be riding my fat bike on that trail.

    Congrats!!!
Our cousin tried to sell(I know right) us her weird Lil baby hiking backpack thingy, I respectfully declined. We don’t do much “hiking” but do go outdoors a lot, so I always had good luck with the Bjorne thingy.
Our last camping trip momma requested to bring the stroller and I rolled my eyes, guess how many times we used the stroller........zero. A big purge of baby accessories is coming, I hope!!!

Haven't been feeling well since I got my 2nd covid shot but but grandpa asked me to come by and help him with a few things so off I go. I roll up to his house and look at what 92 year old gramps got going on.

Sounds like an eerily familiar phrase I'd hear from my dad, except for a part where he'd add, "and get me a beer while you're at it".

Yeah baby stuff is crazy. It just comes and comes and then you run out of places to put it. I actually like the backpack deal. It's just tough to climb for miles with a cantilever baby on me. Baby girl enjoyed it though. She probably felt like those guys riding the elephants.

All that Dewalt reminds me of my Dad who passed last year at 88. He raised me in construction and had the same physique as your Gramps. Our older generations had it way harder than we'll ever know and they worked hard to get there. Hug and tolerate them while you have em !

I'm still having a few issues with my allergies that have kicked my ass the last year but when I see my 92 year old gramps out there cutting wood and working on the kitchen it just makes you suck it up. Me and my aunt have noticed a decline in his overall abilities and we are starting to get concerned. My mother in law passed 2 weeks ago and it has been rough, we all know where we are headed so enjoy while you can.

These latch together and go together. Muy bueno.
    20210424_225436.jpg

These cleaned up a bunch of bags, boxes, and other small compartment boxes.

Everything is localized into one place now. Grab one thing, and go instead of bunch of small things. (Except crimpers. They stay in tool box.)

My wife got me a few organizers similar to those a few years ago. Probably one of the most useful presents I've ever received.

    Yeah, these are great.

I found these on clearance for $8 a box. Retail for $15. Lots of guys up here don't like Dewalt boxes/tools.

I'm actually a fan of these. Like a lot.

Do you not have any, or not a fan of the milky pack out box setups?
If I was still doing installs I’d probably have more of those

I suspect it will be about the same size as the 200. Looks like they are pulling the rear end styling from the current gx.

If I saw one I would tip it over. I don't think I could fight the urge. First time I learned of those was watching Mr Bean as a kid and laughing every time it rolled over. Top Gear played with them too.

When I had the new hot water heater put in last year guy was going to use Pex to connect it to my copper. I told him no - copper.
He told me copper would cost extra, I said copper. When he was done - turned out HWH installed is fixed price w/ that company.
    Dude was just being lazy.
I hate the taste of water supplied through plastic pipes.

Copper is also resistant to mold/mildew/germs. A win win win.

Oh no!!! I don’t use mine that often, but know to respect it. Living in a “house” there aren’t many uses for it, even for tire lifting. But I could totally see how it would be useful on a ranch or farm setting(we have ranches not farms here) I was trying to use it to pull fence posts this morning; but you probably already know how that went.

They are extremely useful. It's a puller/pusher/lifter thing that's also a hunk of metal. It's got redneck trail repair written all over it. It's like anything. Respect that you are about 100x softer than it and you'll be alright. I didn't do that one time.

Do you all grease the lower ball joints? There is a zerk fitting... I haven’t greased mine since replacing them over 20k miles ago. Wondering if this is something I should start greasing like I do with the driveshaft?

Go look at the Spec from the Manufacturer and see what recco’d Grease and Intervals they like. OEM has no zerks.
