    I get that. ;)

I guess what I'm trying to say is that to me it is shocking to see weights this high, because I'm coming from race cars where it's all about weight savings. Just to put it in perspective, my race car is half the weight of my Tundra. Extra 2 lbs/wheel in rotational mass on a race car makes a difference, where truck people are more like "extra 25 lbs/wheel", "ah... no biggie". :D:eek: I know it's apples and oranges, and I get the reasoning behind all of it, but it's a huge jump for me in terms of pure numbers; two extremes. Obviously other factors must be considered, but again, looking at numbers only, it's a massive difference.

...maybe I just suck at conveying what I mean. :):frusty: :)

    Nope. Totally get it.
I’m not gonna try to pull 5G’s through a corner at 130 in this thing either. Shoot, I just added ~80 lbs of skid plate underneath too.
Now, if I was looking to S/C and try to get 1/4 miles in the low 11’s or high 10’s, I’d be going about things much differently.

Exciting times!! Salesman just called me this morning my Pro has landed. Unfortunately it will have to wait to be picked up till Monday. Need to go into work today and make steel. Then to top it off night shift next week. So I won’t be getting much sleep with the new toy. New tires, RB20’s to add window tint the following week. Good week to be nights. Also need to add driver side arm pull and door sills.

Sort of. My boss was buying me the truck. Money was wired over, but he had a work call, so I took it on a joyride while he handled business.

Took me 6 months to pick what I wanted (it's hard to decide when someone tells you they'll buy literally anything you want) and within 6 hours it was in my possession. The man doesn't waste any time.

Actually, I guess in a way my boss pays for my truck too but not quite the same way.

I'm a nanny for the family and they had baby 3 last year. Buying me a truck was worth him never changing a diaper in his mind :rofl:The man bought 2 planes and a car a month last year, the tundra was the cheapest by a long shot.

Nice. But don’t think I could handle raising someone else’s kids. It was hard enough raising my own.

Hahaha you know, for someone that definitely doesn't want ownership of them, they're pretty fun little humans to hang out with. For a fat paycheck of course.

What up everybody! Been following along for a bit.....first post.

I put a deposit down Sept 20’.....dealer received allocation in February. Shortly after that I received a build date of 4/12.....ended up getting built 4/17. Now I’m just waiting for it to get delivered.

The mods have been steadily piling up in the garage. Almost go time

I locked in the trade-in price but if it changes more than a 200ish because my build date took longer then I will just sell my truck on my own and pay for the new truck. No worries!

I did test drive but mine wasn't a special order. It just got to the lot with 1 mile on it. In and out of the dealer in less then 2 hours.

That is so cool that you had only 1 mile on the odometer. With that being said, here comes another weird question: :D

This LR is my first new Toyota. How come some of us had 1 mile at pick up and some had 10 miles? :notsure: I've bought ten new Hondas and they all had 3-4 miles. Very consistent fresh of the truck mileage. Why is Toyota so random? :D:notsure::D

Mine had 2 miles on it when they pulled it out of the bay after dealer inspection. It had 8 miles on it when I actually got the keys because they drove it to fill it up with gas and down to the touchless carwash. And the guy probably took the long route both ways because it was one of the first LR Pros to show up in the area...

Good question... Mine had 3 on it. I was texting with Her (sales) when the truck come in and let her know I was coming in on Friday to pick it up... said to her not to drive the truck far.... she texted back...we need to put gas in it... unless you don't want gas in it??? ( gas station was 1/2 mile away)

So, not sure what the dealer does when it arrives for inspection (PA) or just making sure everything works correctly or putting gas in it... could vary quite a bit I am guessing.... ?? my thoughts ( not gospel... just thoughts)

Yeah, I wonder if whoever does the inspection/road test beats the shit out of it or if they are actually respectful of the soon-to-be new owner's property. :notsure:

Yup, but I test drove it while the business folks were drawing up the papers. Salesman was pretty excited because he hadn't sold a TRD Pro yet. Everyone was ooohing and aahhhing at it. It had 3 miles on it when they pulled it off the showroom to let me drive it. When I asked if I could drive it first, the salesman said it would be a crime if I didn't (code for "yes, pretty f-ing PLEASE, take me out on a drive in it")

Funny story, when Jim, while sitting in the passenger seat, asked, "how do you like it?" I responded by telling him, "Well, I've never had an erection sitting next to another man before, but I do now." My wife held her head in expected shame, and Jim laughed so hard he was crying. 2 miles later we were back at the dealership. Good times.

If they're on the lot a day or 2 they may have some test drives I would imagine. I never gave anyone a shot as I told them I would take it right when it was seen. It's like they drove it enough to put on truck, take off truck and park it at the lot.
