The cup holders just pull straight up after you lift out the map pocket cover (the long narrow bit). I wasn't clear enough in my request, I was only meaning to ask if you'd pull up the cup holders, sorry for the confusion :D. It looks like you've had them out in one of your other pictures, I was only interested in the underside of them and maybe where the wires run into the console next to the shifter. Factory wiring for something like these is going to be very fine wire, if your pictures reveal heavier wiring, that would lead me to suspect that they were added after the fact.

Here's all that I have in my truck to illuminate the shifter/cupholder area. The only time that it comes on is when the mirror determines that it is dark outside via a sensor on the backside/leading side of the mirror facing the windshield, or I cover it with my finger. The detection takes about 15 second, just like the Automatic Headlamps.

The bulbs are in the console and shine through the holes in the cup holder. I wish I had easy access to the wires, then I’d just fabricate something myself. If the cup holder bulbs aren’t factory, somebody went to a lot of trouble to install them and wire them to the footwell lights and have them go on and off in a sequencing pattern with the press of the button. He would have had to added some type of relay as well.

Oh sure, I think that I know what you're saying. When you pull the cup holder out, the bulb/wiring remain in the console. Okay, thanks!

My Highlander had a bulb in the overhead console than shined down on the cup holders. I may try to see if maybe I can do something like that. My next project is trying to find the best place to put the microphone for my HU. For some reason it doesn’t work well mounted on top of the steering wheel column

Ya, rather than just a symbol, like the one to the left of the steering column that is for the "Door".

Factory 20’s. Love a 5-spoke. Plasti-dip anthracite grey. The dealership ruined the finish before I picked it up so this was the easiest and cheapest fix. Good way to figure out what color you like. Just not into most aftermarket wheels. Visually and financially.

I took it to my favorite mechanic (may the Lord bless him, and keep him, he's an honest mechanic) for new plugs and a new serpentine belt.

The new plugs are NGK Laser Iridium, and the belt is a Gates Fleetrunner (kind of a nifty green).

The mechanic numbered the plugs for me as he took them out.

Here are the old plugs. Mostly good, but #4 is a bit troublesome. All are originals and have nearly 95,000 miles on them.

Looks like #6 was leaking. I'm glad I caught it now.

The belt, which I presume to be original, is still in decent shape.

Just finished a total front end rebuild except UCAs.. I hit something that jacked my steering and bent the sway bar so it got New LCAs, spc cam bolts, inner and out tie rods, a TRD sway bar with new mounts and bushings..In the process of this r&r job I had to chop off one of the shocks so that necessitated toytec coilovers obviously. I had a leaky caliper about a year ago that I had replaced and didn't realize the havoc brake fluid had done on the fasteners. I guess that corroded the hell out of every bolt and fastener on that side because the other side was a breeze, trust me when I say the bolt for the lower shock WOULD NOT budge..with no nut it was fused to the lower shock so that dude got chopped off. Since I went ham on it I put new wheels and tires on it finally. I fell in love with my truck all over again..drives like new and looks killer!

Does the dust boot on the inner tie rod in the middle picture need a zip tie or something to hold it on there?

Looks like your not running your sway bar. Any reason? How is the ride? Any safety concerns? I have considered removing mine too but have questions. Any assistance appreciated

Oh just in that pic. I had actually been driving it a bit after I chopped the mounts off because it had gotten bent and I wasn't a fan. Body roll up front wasn't my thing. I put a TRD bar on it and I prefer it, you can just see it in the last pic . I guess if you're wheeling o/r I can see why you'd ditch it but again, the bodyroll in corners seemed way exaggerated without it for the short time I drove it like that.

Installed Hertz Mid/tweeter in the dash..replaced the NVX tweeters that were too harsh. Tight fit but really filled out the sound!! Update..damn these are amazing! well worth the $$$ and the poor fit!
