Hey if it works for you then thats great but I am not even aware of looking at my radio when I press the buttons incessantly to avoid commercials anyway.

I drive across the country pretty often too and it just never occurs to me to use the controls on the wheel?

I am just a simple Caveman in the end.

How did we make it six pages without a complete derailment? I'm kind of disappointed :)

Has anyone used one of those aftermarket overhead view camera systems? Like the 2013+ LC.

I’ve yet to see a retrofitted Birdseye.

Hmm that would technically work great with my radio setup. But I honestly don’t see much benefit to the Birdseye system. A front camera is great, as is rear.. the sides. Meh

I'll echo the heated steering wheel bit. That's higher on my list than even heated seats.

That's about it really. I'd like the clock to be in a more readable spot but that's not really what OP was asking for.

The biggest challenge is getting a small enough camera to fit inside the side view mirrors when mounted to the bottom. I haven’t found a camera that’s capable of fitting there without limiting the range of adjustability to the mirrors. Anything else that mounted to the side of the Tundra wouldn’t be appealing and would stick out like a sore thumb.

I find having one would be useful for not scrubbing my tires against a curb occasionally. Also, for capturing anyone vandalizing my vehicle.

My 2006 DC SR5 has radio controls on the left side of steering wheel, but there is a 'blank' on the right side?
What option(s) went on the right side? . . . i'm assuming they were used on the 'Limited' model.

Nothing those years. But a ribbon cable and a 4runner switch (black unfortunately) will add Bluetooth controls with no wiring IF you have a modern radio

You may be able to get a beige switch out of a sienna, camry or lexus gx that used similar switches. I haven't looked for them.

That's true. I bet there are several Lexi that would have that option. Maybe? I would love to have a real wood GX steering wheel.

I'd like to yank all the interior and install 'sound deadening' like dynamat to the entire cab.
But currently it's not worth the time and money for me.
If i run into some money, I may do it someday. I love the truck, it'd be that much nicer being quieter.

You could piece meal it like I did with Organic Insulation from Purple Carrot (free) and some big box Butyl Rubber Peel and Stick for home windows. It doesn’t take much to deaden the sound (per experts of which I am not). A little strategic application goes a long way in achieving results. No need to go OCD like some of these guys spending days and $$$ for the same result. Check my build page.

She is pretty quite and saved $$$. It does take a little time and a lot of what I did was when ‘in there’ doing something else. Win win.

Sorry about that. i've been on vacation and will get right on it.

Hey y'all, I've been meaning to upgrade my FGT's oil to something newer, an oil that provides some of the cleaning and lubricating amenities of today's modern oils. I read on some forums that Amsoil has a new avocado oil that is highly recommended but others were saying the Royal Purple is what modern cars use.

What does the Tundra Think Tank have to say?
