Mine broke on the way home from the dealership. Then the electrical problems set in with frequent random shutdowns and no starts to go with all the random mechanical problems. YMMV

Wow ..what year and model ? ..had a 2000 GMC Sierra for a good 10years and never even needed brakes. It did have that drivers side running light that would always burn out lol

2014 and it was the worst pile of crap I have ever owned. We had all kinds of Chevy trucks growing up and they were great. The newer stuff has taken a dive as the quotient of electronics has increased. Look up the problems with the immobilizer, they are well documented.

The guy that I bought a sled from had a new 2020 Silverado 1500 and was eyeing up my truck. Said his already had a new transmission in it and only had about 8K on it. When to back out out of the drive and nothing.

My father has a 2021 Denali with the 5.3. Less than 3k miles and they already had to pull the heads and replace a broken lifter.

my dad bought a 2021 platinum highlander and I dont really want that 12 " narrow but wide screen, I don't like that much at all.

go like ford with a good nice screen built into the dash like more normal

I have been investing in stocks for 30 years. Good companies that make good products doesn't automatically mean it is a good stock to own. Before my Tundra I was always a Honda guy for 30+ years. Still own three of them. Great cars and SUVs..but never had even one thought about buying their stock. Just looked at TM. It has been lagging the S&P 500 over the last 5 years. And with production issues last year and this year....yeah, just a no for me. Honda stock has really been bad the last 5 years But in the end when you buy the vehicle you are not buying the stock and vice versa.

As for Tesla, investors consider the potential growth of the company. I forget the ratio, but it is P/E divided by growth or some such equation that they also look at. Plus there are political tailwinds for EVs vs headwinds for gasoline powered vehicles. I flipped Tesla three times last summer. Made me very happy.

tm is a long term saving account for me not necessarily an investment. I’m up about 20 percent over the last year when I started investing outside of my 401k. I make the most money investing in crypto and buying firearm stocks when the riots and lockdowns were starting.

The only two stocks I've ever bought were Google and Tesla. I bought them in the first three or four years of being public when they were around $100 a share. I think the last Tesla stock I bought was when it was at $350.

Unfortunately because of my conservative nature, I was not willing to risk the money I was saving for retirement on any of those stock purchases it was always with the extra hundred or two a month that I had in discretionary budget.
The only direct stocks I've ever purchased were Google and Tesla.

Now apparent evidence of leaking. Mine does have the spoiler / sliding window. Will definitely be keeping an eye on it.

The more I drive it, the more I am impressed when the 10 speed. Buttery smooth, quick / seamless, and keeps you in the power. Makes mid range / 20-60mph acceleration very enjoyable.

How do you like the 21 f150?? Thinking about just going for the powerboost and cashing in on a trade in value that is above what I paid for my tundra two years ago.

Wonder why the couple I've seen on Youtube that mentioned it have only a few small supplemental and not a big 400 page manual to go with them?

Honestly I’m really liking my new truck. It hauls ass at 500ftlbs it’s a freight train. It’s very comfortable inside and the driving modes are awesome too. Electronic locking diff is invaluable out in the bush. Toss it into mud/ruts or sport mode and it’s a beast. I first didn’t like the way the new 150 bodies looked but it’s really grown on me as well. :anonymous:

Consider yourself lucky. I work with 2 guys who have purchased 2020/2021 GMCs. Both of them have had it in the shop at least once for the rear window leak and one or two other electrical gremlins.
