Suspension Newbie - Looking for budget improvement of current 6" ProComp

    I will admit I know next to nothing about suspension but I have learned a little in the 8 months that I have had my 2014 1794 Tundra. It came with a 6" ProComp lift but I don't know any other specifics. I LOVE the way it looks but to be honest I feel every bump on the road so I would guess it's one of the lower end ProComps. It's just very stiff-feeling. One thing I have noticed is that the rear seems to sag about an inch compared to the front. There are 4" blocks in the rear. I have been told that the lift was probably level at one point but the rear shocks got worn out. Does this sound right? Anyway, I am looking for suggestions for a budget fix to improving my ride. I'd like to start with the rear only, then upgrade the front later on. I have heard of "rear block deletes" and that sounds like it would be up my alley. I don't have it in the budget to do a whole $5k suspension upgrade. Any feedback is appreciated.

    I ditched my stock leafs and the Pro Comp blocks and add a leaf and bought some Alcan heavy duty leaf springs and installed Coachbuilder +3 Shackles.

    I also ditched the Pro comp coils and shocks and went with King 2.5 with adjusters, but since your on a budget disregard the last part.

    The rear shocks being worn out will not affect the ride height.

    Tundras don’t have as much rake as trucks historically have had, so a front 6 inch lift and a rear 4 inch lift will visually look slightly down in the back.

    take a picture of your front suspension and rear

    Edit——. I just found your bumpy ride problem. 22 inch rims with stiff AF e rated tires bro. Thats why you feel every bump in the road. There is very little sidewall, and it is 1 ton rated so it isn’t going to flex much

    Yeah I knew the 22's weren't helping but figured a lot of this had to do with the blocks in the rear, but again, I don't know much about this stuff. If I do the rear block delete I am sure I will feel some improvement, no? The thing is, the truck rides really nice on smooth roads like interstates, which is why I went with the Toyo R/T. I wanted to maintain the aggressive look but reduce road noise which was really bad with the previous Ironman M/T. Road noise is minimal and I really like these tires but when I hit bumps I feel it big-time. I bought the truck with that setup, and probably would have gone with 20's if I were choosing my own, but I do like the look of the 22's. Tires are only 6 months old so trying to figure out a way to improve the ride without switching the tire/wheel setup anytime soon.

    Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension, HD RAS, 285/75-18 Nokian Outpost AT, LoPro bed cover, TRD rear sway bar, DD 10 inch exhaust, and various other goodies
    check your tire pressure, too much air will cause a harsh ride, especially with 22inch wheels.

    I think it gets back to your initial question, there is no budget way to address this. Deleting the blocks means a custom spring pack

    Ill let some of the guys who have recently done alcan’s address cost?

    Do you haul much? You can get a leaf pack tailored to the load you haul. If you don’t haul, you can go soft

    Minimal hauling. Just whatever fits in the bed, will rarely tow anything or haul truly heavy loads.
