This was the answer I was looking for.

 

Looked like it was a spacer lift and no extended bump stops. The shock the became the bump stop on compression.

My Dad lifted his Raptor with shock extensions. Looks like the kit did come with bump stops though.

 

Kings should be sturdier than the stock TRD Off-road Pkg Bilsteins and not break as easy. But bump stops aren’t that expensive either, so I got some to be safe. I have Icons set at about 2.5” lift.

It is nice to know that they are not completely needed for my application, but I will get some cheaper ones for sure.

 

It’s been over a year, next Friday I will finally have everything installed for mid travel. Thanks for all the help.

Toyota Tech said he about cried when he did this. I’m a little concerned about how tight the sway bar is, should I be?

 

For anyone wondering about how the Icon tubular UCA’S aligned, the Tech. had zero issues at all without having to trim the inner TR ends. Everything look okay?

 

Did you use a sway bar relocation bracket?

 

Too much toe in IMHO. Cross should be closer to .14. Check your tires in a bit for cupping/feathering.

 

I did the same when I installed mine. I haven’t had any issues with sway bar contact

Your truck looks great. Did you do the durobumps for the front and rear? I’ve been debating changing the stock bumps. I am able to stuff the rear without issue and still have a little over an inch on the shock shaft.

 

Yep, Durobumps on front and rear. Hopefully the sway bar doesn’t end up messing anything up.

I’ll have to post up some pictures of the CB +3 shackles. The 33” spare doesn’t have much room.

 

I have the same suspension but only a 3/4” lift shackle in the rear on 35x12.5s. The fronts are about 2” of lift with 650 lbs springs.

 

Did you have them adjusted down to 2”? The tech at Toyota said they had tags on them stating they were set at 2.5”

 

I didn’t have any tags. I took before and after hub to fender measurements. I also did an aggressive CMC.

 

I have a reply email from ICON and it states 22-26 weeks out. so 7 months for my kit (stage 8 w/billet UCAs)

 

I didn’t measure before/after, left them where they were set from King for best ride and performance. Your right though, there’s no way it gained more than 2” of height.

 

Might as well order up some bump stops, and carrier bearing drop. I wanted Kings and got the shackles for a cheaper rear lift for now. In the future I’m thinking Deaver, because the RXT leafs work best with Icon RXT shocks

 

Yeah as the months drag on i will pick up CW shims, Carrier drop and bumper spacers. Not in a hurry, just pacing my purchases till it all arrives.

 

Instructions say to install at the rear of the lower control arm, were these Durobumps installed in the right spot? Looks like to me they are in the front

Glad I was looking into why only one Durobumps bump stop is needed with oem bump stop. I’ll have to call them out on that, haven’t been able to find any pictures online.
