I just ordered the G8 this morning.

 

So I saw on slickdeals that pep boys are changing their store style to be more parts then retail and they are blowing everything out to clear the store to renovate. Thought I'd stop by on my way home.....sure enough, 50% off everything except tires and car batteries.




I bought all they had of the 4 in 1.

I found 2 of the big sucker pfm towels and the smaller detailing ones on an end cap.

Came out to $191.

 

WOOF! That's a good haul. You saved some money. Now I need to find a pep boys close....

I'm trying to think if what other stuff I should get. I grabbed some anti seize and dieletric grease.... Maybe some blue/red loctite or other Permatex stuff, any ideas?

Tagging @briarpatch to make sure he sees this, I know he gets his towels there. I don’t have a Pep Boys around me that sells this stuff. All ours are just service centers.

While coming through the door,I dropped this box. Say from three feet. Never found the cover from the bottle.At least it smells good.

 

That sucks but not a total loss, you still have about 100 uses in what is left.

Yes! I spilled some on the bench. Good thing the shop has two doors opposite of each other.

Thanks. I hit two more stores, hoping to be able to find more PFM towels, but couldn't find any. Did find another jug of the green ceramic wash and some other odds and ends.

 

Anyone know if the promotion is only for California stores, or is it nationwide?

 

I stopped by 2 stores in Houston Texas, got a very good deal on some Griot products and a couple bottles of Meguiars waxes. Very happy.

 

That is awesome.

i work in sugar land and hit the one on hwy 6 & w bellfort. they were service only.

 

Dammit the pepboys near my folks has already start their remodel. Missed out.

I hit the one on the North Loop (I was a few days late, most of the good stuff I know they use to carry was gone) and drove to one on Jones Rd off of 290. That place was already tires and batteries only.

 

No, only a hand full of things, like maybe 4 tables at the store on the North Loop near Shepherd.

 

dang, for us the entire store minus tires and batteries.
