I happily left xfinity last month. The only convenience I miss is cheap mobile option you can tag onto an existing internet package - nothing else.

I've been to a few breweries where they have a water cooler in the corner and a bud light handle on the tap. Cracks me up every time.

Every bit of that story was 100% true. I have the scars to prove it.

I had to go digging for these photos, but this is where the hot tub story went down.

That was my thought as well. I am glad I didn't get any less bike. My wife rides too. We like to make it out west to ride winter park once a year. Some of those rental bikes looked pretty rough. I am glad to have my own bike. We are 10 minutes from one of the better bike parks in the state and less than 2 hours from North West Arkansas. It isn't hard to justify a decent trail bike.

I had no idea how great it was either.

I've been off the radar for a couple of months because my wife had stage 4 colon cancer and I was taking care of her and working at the same time. I say 'had' because on Easter Sunday, her pain was over and she lost her battle. Our daughters and I were by her side and she went peacefully, but now we're trying to figure out how to plow on without her.

We were married 14 years and there was never a day where we didn't say we loved each other and we never had a big fight, just a couple disagreements here and there. I'm trying my best to hold it together for the girls, but I can't help but feel like I wish I had done more for her and gone a few extra miles to help her out here and there.

Sorry for whining, I just needed to get it off my chest before I implode.

That's better control than I had. I'd get up to 110-120 just getting pissed off about drivers and not even notice it. I think my high score was 140ish.
I would have to find a new prize to match!

I'll keep that in mind. I guess that's why my wife has coconut oil around? We have lots of bike stuff around here and there are some ski places that convert in the summer. Not sure I'd do them or not because I'm a loner. We do have a ton of downhill stuff on the mountain above my house though. I'm sure I could bribe my wife to run me up and meet me at the bottom. I've been scoping some areas lately and there are a ton of trails that, as a dirt biker, I've never noticed. Likely I'll go for the trail bike and just tell my wife the extra money is for the lbs over the 20 I said I'd lose.

One day at a time brother, one day at a time. It's a crappy deal, but like you said, her pain is over. Not a great way for it to happen, but you now have the opportunity to be super dad and show those kids what resilience is. Sounds like you have people counting on you being a man forged in fire.

Had my kid wear his flag hat and museum of the american revolution shirt to celebrate what I call Lexington and Concord day. It was that or a 9-line shirt and I think it's tacky when match.

I figured, out there you would have some pretty good trails, including downhill. Go hang out in some of the parking lots and see what people are riding. You may even have demo days that you can try some bikes at.

Probably which makes it an even better read. If the dopes can’t see the ‘real story’ behind our true history then we are lost.

I never actually knew there was a real written account by Paul Revere until reading it last year. His grammar is rudimentary, yet highly detailed. Pretty straight forward dude.

    Highly recco’d read!

I'm lucky to be alive. My little Gixxer would do 158 according to the magazines. Speedo on mine rang 155 once or twice. The sound those inline 4's make at 13k rpm is intoxicating. No way I could drive one that fast again. Sold that bike as soon as I found out my wife was pregnant. Wanted to be alive to help raise my kids. At work we referred to them as donorcycles or murdercycles. Shame, they are so much fun to ride. Street just isn't the place for speeds like that.

I still crack the Stripler open on commutes. 138 is my record and that's all she had to give full tuck on a naked bike. I enjoy canyon carving far more than straight lines, hence no need for a liter bike. I avoid the interstate as much as I can and ride pretty defensively by habit.

142 on my R6. Never again. So scary. I’ve listed my most recent bike and plan on getting a dirt bike. At least then I only have myself to blame for hurting myself and probably won’t die riding it.

Way back in my stupid 20's I had a 90's ZX7R. I think stock it would do 160 or 165. I bought it from somebody who used it as a track bike, mods, gearing, safety wired, etc. I have no clue what it would actually top out at but one day I took it on I10 and let it fly. I probably went for a couple of miles and the spedo was maxed.

One of the stupider things I've done in the past.

It's not OEM but I'd consider tucking a tilt switch behind the hood insulator as a simple stealth option.
