So still waiting on my truck to come in to replace the one that was totaled. They say it might be end of this week, possibly next week before it's here. The anxiety is killing me, ha... Anyone else waiting on a truck?

On a side note, does anyone know where you can find a replacement for the front Toyota logo in the grill? I'd like to get one that is red instead of the chrome. Also looking to get a red Tundra badge to replace the chrome ones on the doors. Anyone ever seen that?

Here is a photo similar to the truck I'm waiting on. '21 Tundra TRD Sport - Black

Nice looking truck. The grille emblem is going to be tough, it would be a DIY paint project if the logo was raised but on that particular one I’m pretty sure it’s a flat rubber-like material. For the other emblems I think your best bet is to order black ones and paint them yourself. You could paint the chrome ones but I heard it’s extra work and probably not worth trying when you can buy paintable ones.

Congrats on the new truck! That's a nice looking ride. I'm sure you know this, but the Toyota logo is also the Speed Sensor for the radar, so you'll need to be careful with any alterations or you'll get errors I'm sure. Hope the insurance was nice to you.

On another note, my son is attending Texas Tech in the Fall and living in Stangle. He'll be a Freshman in Media and Communications. Any tips or advice for a new student? My wife and I are Aggies and We live in San Antonio, so not a lot of experience in Lubbock.

Have you checked for a vinyl overlay on Etsy? You might be able to find or get someone to customize one for you.

^this. I would opt to remove the TUNDRA badge all together and go with a vinyl sticker instead. Did that on my last Taco.IMG_1486[1].jpg

Very nice truck! I'm in the same boat, waiting for AutoNation Corpus Christi to put my Sequoia on a transport. At least you have an ETA. I'm 100% in the you paid we don't care on to the next buyer boat (at least it feels that way)

Nice, it never even dawned on me to de-badge it and put a sticker in it's place. I was already looking to replace the side panel decals from silver to red so that may work great. Good idea!

 As far as the grill goes, only solution I can think of is to install pro grill with red vinyl decals.

Yeah, I know the sensor is behind it. I also think as someone else mentioned, the chrome is under a plastic of sort, so you can't just overlay or paint it. There might be a full replacement out there, humm..

Tech was awesome, and Lubbock is a great town. I graduated in '04 and things have changed a ton. Been at least 7 years since I've been back out there I think. I am happy to hear your son smartened up though, haha. Totally j/k. Just enjoy it, stay out of trouble, and Wreck 'Em Tech!

I thought to go with a Pro grill again, but I dunno yet. I kind of liked the way this one looked and not jump on the band wagon Pro, ha. Also something about that garnish piece that just bugs me. So we'll see.

I agree. You might look into red tint and just overlay the whole sensor.
