It's been a flares, to no flares, to flares story for the truck. I bought it like this: Screenshot_20200605-232230_Gallery.jpg

And took them off to make the truck look more "trucky" without a lift/tires. Since I leveled it and went with bigger tires, I felt it was time to give them another shot at redemption. 20210418_195109.jpg

Also added some raised lettering to the tail gate.20210418_204236.jpg

Planning on doing some sliders in the near future. I'm looking to go with these: https://realtruck.com/p/smittybilt-...Xl4iuXor0lx_pr3yYcD4bC0G6zFMQXYxoC7koQAvD_BwE

Anyone have any experience with these? Or have any other comparable options? Thanks in advance.

TRD rear sway bar, Ready lift 3/1, 4 window auto up/ down.
Installed @AJT Design black shift and cupholder rings. Excellent quality product, fast shipping and an amazing vendor provided video instructions. A bit more drilling than I care for... but those bolts are the real deal!

I also got the new 18in. BLACKOUT TRD OffRoad wheels! Ha! Just kidding I just plastidipped the hell out of mine!

Plenty of folks switching to VLEDs. Some have good pics of before vs. after, some have bad. Here's mine:

Did your tape come undone? I'm a little worried about that.

I used off-the-roll 3M double sided tape to stick a scoche phone mount to the center console and it works great. Way more stress than one of these lights. If the original tape comes off my lights, it'll probably be me, that roll, and an Xacto knife.

No it didn't. I removed them from my 2013 before I sold it and will put them on my 2020.

Before you get your hopes up too high for those sliders, double check if they make them for our Tundra's. I was looking at them awhile back and they were only available for Ford's, so I moved on. Went with Victory 4x4. Good luck.

Paid off the truck. Decided paying interest was lame after 4 months from purchase. Plus if I was to sell it to anyone with a good offer...I would have title in hand.

    Not enough....
Spent all weekend installing my lift, wheels and tires. Couldn't be happier with the results. Full Dobinson's kit, front and rear including new leaf springs. SPC upper arms, Boss off-road 1" shackle and shims up front, FN BFD wheels, and 285/75r18 Maxxis Razr MT. Already went for a spin in the mud and had a blast.

But I went to the local dealership to see how many new tundras and sequoias were on the lot....NONE! There were no tundras, sequoias, tacomas, or 4 runners! I stayed in my truck and drove through the (empty) lot and a salesman kinda mosied out to talk to me. He was complimenting me on the truck and we got chatting a little bit. I don't doubt I could trade mine in and practically name my price. There was 1 used 2020 tundra on the lot and that was it. Everything else there was there for maintenance or workers there. Hoping this all turns around when time for me to purchase another!

Thanks man! It's growing on me. I think I'd still like the color matched, but I'm thinking the chrome compliments the lil bit of machining in the wheels and lil bit of chrome I got.

Nice! I did a very similar thing. After 6 months I just said screw it and paid the rest off. I want my money working for me, not paying somebody else's bills. Living debt free (besides the mortgage) is a fantastic feeling. Paying off the house is definitely the next step.

The SPC UCA's definitely helped. They are actually the Mevotech branded ones from Rock Auto, but they are actually SPC, just $200 cheaper. I had them set to the "C" setting which should be +1 Caster over the included +2 caster built into the arms. It aligned perfectly, with I think +2.8 caster on each side. I wouldn't mind possibly a touch more, but right now it drives perfectly.

And I haven't tried yet with the spare. I just picked up a used tire locally of the same size that I will get mounted later on the factory spare wheel. I should fit, but I think some cutting/bending might be required.

Get the blackout piece that goes around the shifter next and it’ll look even better! Nice job on the wheels too, I just did mine. Loved how the turned out.

That's my long term goal once my 2017 pro headlights get cataracts. I'll also swap the fogs too while I'm at it so it matches.
