What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I believe it's used for lane keep assist and emergency braking, and the sensor in the grill is for adaptive cruise.

 

I knew I wasn't correct, but the camera is in the rearview mirror cluster, correct? For a truck without over the top technology (which I like, less to go wrong), they snuck some pretty good tech in for safety.

 

Correct, it's behind the rearview mirror.

 

I agree with Jim LE 1301. I took a more expensive route using the Spyder LEDs...

 

I like the Spyders, but they are a bit too dark for my liking.

Yes the tss sensor behind the windshield takes calibration I miscalled it a camera. But it is part of the radar cruise and tss I believe. I was just letting people know that some companies do onsite calibration so you don’t have to go into the dealership after new glass.

 

Understood. However, my policy is to stick with known quantities. Where Champion, for all they can't calibrate the camera, has done an awesome job for me in the past, I'm staying with them. I've seen the result of (and had to DEAL with!) oor windshield replacement jobs in the past.

 

I'm with you, if I get good service, I'm sticking with a business. Even if it makes me have to do a little extra myself.

 

Thanks @d_kinneyjr for the idea and reference; finally got the logo today on the slow boat from China; thanks so much for the tip! I put mine in the same place you did; I didn’t think it looked better anywhere else. Fully committed and drilled the grill, but could NOT find that darn thread locker again... 60% of the time, it goes missing every time.

 

This really put my expertise and persistence to the test. I changed out the plate frame for the 3rd time since I've had rust and paint peeling issues on the past 2. This time I went with plastic hoping for better results. Please pretend the plate is blurred out lol.

Since it came with a sticker I turned my bedslide divider into a trd pro bedslide divider. I know, I know I'm pretty talented, pls hold applause.



I then took the time to lay out and post in the sale thread for anyone interested in a stock air box however with a trd filter and trd air accelerator making it a trd cold air intake without the fancy red letters or hose and crazy price tag. I've come to the conclusion it's time to start moving the toyota parts store I have sitting in my garage. I have everything from floor mats to tie rods, shackles, rear leaf springs, speakers, fair leads, crash bar, cargo net and bar, fog lights, Trd exhaust, I mean the list goes on and on. If anyone needs anything pm me. I'm planning to start slowly posting in sale thread on this site before I list other places. I rather give you guys first chance at good deals. Sorry for tangent just trying to give you guys on this thread first heads up since I like and interact with a lot of you guys on a regular.

They seem to be pretty good for price and what they are. I've seen the sport version, I never saw the pro version until the other day when I looked. Until now it seemed my only option were trd plates without the pro. The pro makes my OCD happy.

 

Good brother, hopefully yours is the same. Seems my work busy season is just about over now. Hopefully a little more time for kids, sports, and fun.

I just replaced headlights with led bulbs first photo old bulb much brighter lights in 2nd photo

 

do Started chrome delete today too. As long as I had to take grill off for chrome delete I might as well do led headlights

 

Installed an RCI engine skid plate and a tranny/cat security plate from Desert Eagle Off-Road. Tightening the nut on the driver’s side carriage bolt took some finagling and a lot of finger tip strength. A ratcheting wrench is a must or someone with arms the size of an 8 year old.

 

After a few beers and a lot of curse words later, I installed the Decked system and CaliRaised bed stiffeners. The left side is full of camping shenanigans and the right is tools/ go-bag/ recovery gear. It was pretty fun to install. After speaking with some fellow forum users, they suggested installing the bed stiffener first then decked. Makes your life a lot easier. Now I gotta re-adjust my DIY ActionTrax mounts and finish up my DIY CO2 on-board air system/mount.
