So I had a few little questions if anyone can offer some input.

First, how difficult is it to de-badge a brand new truck? Best way to do it? Just pry it up and yank it off, do I need to heat it a little, use fishing line, what? I want to remove the iforce and sr5 badge.

Also, I want to put a flag decal where the iforce badge is. Truck is going to be black, do you think a red flag will look ok, or should I go with matte black? Does anyone have red decals on a black truck? I also want to remove the rear white/silver TRD Sport bedside decal and do a red one. Last thing is either doing the Tundra badge black, or doing it also in red. Hummm...

    What do you think?

To de-bage is pretty straight forward. I used fishing line. Heating it up with a hair dryer definitely made it easier to come off . Same with the decals on the truck bed. As for the red or black decals I think either will look good. I am sure there are people on here who have done one or the other and they might be able to post some pics for you to see.

Hair drier on LOW. Keep it moving, don't keep it one spot too long

Do it on a HOT day, so the 3m tape will already be soft.

I used the corner of a plastic pry tool to get the badge removal started, fishing line didn't work for me. Once the corner was up, heat and slow pulling did the rest

You will have to remove reside with auto or paint safe GooGone or similar product. The majority came off with badge and then my thumb and more low heat

    Wash and polish when done.

Here is what was under my iForce badge.

I debadged everything but still have Canada Flags to go on each side of the front doors (as you described).

Once I saw that, I was happy they all came off and I wasn't about to replace them.

It's just begging for water and rust to eat away at the paint.

^ what he said, blow dryer and fishing line! I used combination of alcohol and goo gone to remove adhesive, going back and forth seemed to work the best. alcohol dries out the adhesive making it more brittle and goo gone removes it. As far as removing from new vehicle, the sooner you do it the easier it will be. Side note, the iForce badge has adhesive covering the entire badge, be sure to take your time heating and removing, it was a shock to me that Toyota used so much.

Here's my truck with the Matte black flag, it's actually a magnet so I can remove later if wanted.

DO NOT PRY THE BADGES OFF!

I used fishing line and Goo Gone, I followed up with an eraser wheel to get the residue off. Heatgun works best but you'll have to monitor the surrounding area to make sure you don't damage the paint.

Make sure the area is clean before you start working and you can tape off the area around the badge to contain and minimize scratches.

So what's the best way to remove the bedside decal? Just peel it up, or is there a better way?

I didn't have a heat gun or eraser wheel at the time I peeled mine by hand and used some googone to get the residue off. If you are patient you can remove the sticker in one piece.

Can someone go out and measure their bedside decal and let me know the size of it? Wanting to order a different color and wasn't sure what the factory size is. How wide, how tall. Thanks..!

Running boards. Shaved vehicle emblems. TruXcedo low profile tonneau cover. LED interior lights along with cargo bay and reverse lights.

Hair dryer and dental floss doubled up and going slow took the Tundra and my SR5 off. But the big square of plastic needed my heat gun and very thin mechanics wire. Again go S-L-O-W
take your time. Used this stuff to remove the ghosting. 0422211814.jpg
