Oh I'm with you on that, I forget that exists. I've removed the temp control knob more than once to keep her from cranking the heater.

We got my wife a new car last year. I prefer older because I can work on them and the local mechanics aren’t worth shit. I would like steering wheel audio/phone controls, heated seats, and power seats. Maybe the bed rail system and all wheel disk brakes. But not needed.

It seems like most of you guys meant to buy a double cab?
I joke... but really my drivers seat has turned out to be amazing on long road trips. I felt like I was setting on a bubble at first. It felt like it was made for a chubby fellow.

Domestic land yachts had these in the 60s and 70s. Apparently, Cadillac introduced them in 1962. A 1962 Cadillac would likely solve all our problems.:rofl:
    https://automotivemileposts.com/autobrevity/corneringlamps.html

The steady beam of bright light helped illuminate the way around dark corners, a benefit especially appreciated by drivers navigating their way in unknown territory. The cornering lamps also served as a warning to oncoming traffic that a car was about to make a turn. They were also helpful in illuminating addresses stenciled onto curbs, and they became part of the Twilight Sentinel feature, which not only automatically turned on and off headlamps according to lighting conditions, but allowed drivers to leave the headlamps on upon exiting the car to illuminate their way into their homes.

Gotta keep a/c for the girls. But i dont usually run it unless its raining. My titan hasnt had a/c in years, but it also doesnt do much day time driving. The tundras a/c will fog my glasses if i let it.

i might try to swap the sequoias condenser into the tundra. Was gonna just steal the electric fan, but the mounts are attached to the (larger) condenser.

Sounds petty, I know, but I want the 3 turn signal flash with tap. I simply can’t justify $60 for a programmable flasher relay though.

Back when I test drove a new Taco, that radar cruise was the tiiiiits. Especially seeing as how bad the cruise in these trucks suck. Typical daily scenario: set cruise at 65, encounter slight hill, truck slows to 60, trans downshifts to -77th gear and screams to 84mph before releasing the throttle completely and then it lets me coast back down to 62 before repeating the process all over again 3-4 more times.

Seriously, whoever programmed the PID for this cruise should be slapped in the face with a shit filled sock.

It's probably barely keeping it charged. Every time I ran Maps on my phone with the screen on plugged into a radio I've still slowly lost battery charge.

Those and most computer ports only output 500mA compared to 2A+ for most chargers now.

Only thing I'd really like is the triple signal bump but like @MrDirtjumper mentioned not enough to spend $60 on it.

Fast forward to the future! 2021 Tacoma I rented in LA, also did not have the 3 blink lane changer bump feature. To be fair, Toyota is usually slow to some of the newer technologies, usually to vet out trends and reliability. How can I make a specific set of lights only blink 3 times when requested? Is everyone really going to continue to change lanes? or continue to signal other drivers of this intention? Guess they're still on the fence with this one.

I bet it did and is programmable through a setting. I think it was an NHSTA requirement just like back up cameras.

I’m still trying to figure out why my cargo lights come on for no reason when I park my truck. Maybe they’ll shut off by themselves but I always find myself pressing the button to turn them off.

Oh and relocation of the AC button; every time I put a coffee in the holder it seems to hit the button.

When you open the door they come on. They do turn off normally. I've never timed it, but if I had to guess... probably 30 seconds or so. Maybe 60. Haven't paid that much attention.

Almost all new trucks I've seen in parking lots do this. New tacomas do it.

    Agree on both points.
I pulled the bulbs out of the cargo lights. Solved.
My +100lb wolf dog accidentally hits that AC button a lot and the light on that switch is hard to see in the daylight, annoying.

^^^ The cargo light on my '03 goes on with the interior dome lights, taillights, turn signals, license plate lights and maybe even the ignition switch light. I'd have to test which lights come on when but removing the ignition key, using the keyless unlock, maybe putting the key in the door, etc. are some of the triggers. Courtesy lights? Comfort lights? I don't know what Toyota calls these.

Do you really have a wolf-hybrid? We have a husky and when we lived in Florida the Cubans called her "Lobo". They were legit terrified of her. I met an actual wolf-hybrid at the dog park once and it was the scariest dog I've ever met. It didn't even move like a normal dog and didn't want to interact with the other dogs.

Yes. Timber Wolf an AK Malamute hybrid.
I go her at 4 months and she's the sweetest critter you'll ever meet. I socialized her well with other dogs, children, and adults at an early age. Now 6yrs old. She will lick you to death. Never had a spanking... she's just a big snuggly teddy bear.
