Sometimes. Yes. Don't think asking for lighted mirror controls is too much to ask on a $50K+ truck.

No implication on cost cutting, it’s just irritating that it’s not there and the consumer has to spend money and time to put it there. My perspective is it’s remiss to think Toyota is not leaving generational designs in place and not upgrading other things while trucks are consistently selling. It’s a staple of industry and Toyota can capitalize longer on their designs because they are superior at the core. Across their brand. However, these longer time periods strafe things that change frequently like technology. While I’m not a Ford fan, I stand by my comment on the Big 3 and will not own a Dodge so I can be comfortable inside a non-operational vehicle.

Sorry, no. You can trim the ends on the standard one to fit inside the console vault.

When my dog hangs his head out of the rear passenger side window he rolls the window down with his foot. When I lock the windows, then I can only control my window.

Very minute problem, but it’s annoying nonetheless.

Same problem in my wife's Corolla. I wish the driver could still control all the windows with the lock on.

Yeah. I guess I haven't really owned other trucks besides a 2017 Tacoma. And the Tundra seems really good about downshifting in comparison. Really good actually

    1. the worst JBL sound system in any toyota ever (no bass at all), complete waste of money (2014 4runner and our 2016 tacoma jbl system was at least worth the upgrade)
    2. fog lights bounce in housing over any type of bump (this annoys the wife to no end)
    3. rear passenger seat squeaks (back corner is rubbing against the rounded corner of the cab i think)

I stuck some of those floor protector furniture sliders on the rear of the truck behind the seat and now the squeak is gone. Sucks that I had to do it, but it was fixed for just a couple of $.

I fixed my loose fog lights by simply running a tie-wrap between the plastic fog light housing mount and back to the steel framing right behind the fog light. I had to reset my fog light aim too. Agree, it's a bad design from Toyota.

I Agree, that has to be the dumbest behavior of that button ever. When my kids were toddlers, it was a royal pain in the ass. I'd have to unlock the windows, roll them up or down and quickly lock them again to keep the kids from futzing around. None of the other makes I've owned have had this behavior.

The intermittent windshield wiper delay doesn't have a slow/high enough delay setting. It operates too frequently even on the highest delay for very light rain or mist causing wiper blade chatter.

Yes, that's what I have to do. Just irritating that I can't set the delay like I can in my other non-Toyota vehicles.

Yep, that's literally about the only thing I'd change about my truck if I could. If I could double the time between, uh, 'swipes' on the lowest frequency I would.

I installed a spin-on adapter on my wife's Highlander a few weeks ago. Next up will be my Tundra and then my Camry. They have a remote conversion kit too. It's expensive, to the point where you could buy close to 100 paper filters elements for the cost of this adapter, but I'll never break another plastic housing and I'm happy with it so far. I didn't want to buy the aluminum OEM housing so I went this route...

    This one fits the 5.7.

Looks interesting, wonder what the warranty implications would be with that in place. I would think it has little or no affect on oil pressure and flow. might have to order one of those. :)

I designed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4770907 for my Fumoto drain valve. Fumoto makes the issue even worse as the drain hole diameter is smaller. If you have a 3D printer, give it a try.

I think it'll have negative warranty implications in that I don't expect to be able to make a warranty claim if I have an oil-related issue. There's no oil pressure gauge on the Highlander so I can't see what effect it had. Since the Tundra has a pressure gauge, I plan to see if it changes where my needle sits.

Doubt you'll see any dif. As far as warranty, just take it off and replace the OEM before towing it to the dealer. ;)

For me, it was actually something that I was not expecting, the windows. My 16 year old GX470 had power automatic up/down feature on both front windows. But I'm sure there's some way to add this feature. I do have the SR5.
