First time Toyota owner here, so a whole new world for me (coming from GM). Please let me know if this post needs to be moved or is against the rules.

I bought a used 2020 Platinum that the previous owner already did significant work to. That work includes performance headers, Borla exhaust (true duals), lift, wheels, and tires.

Upon purchasing the vehicle, I received a P0420 code within 24 hours of driving off the lot with the truck. I've dealt with this code before on an older GM with performance exhaust. I purchased and installed catalytic spacers, similar to the ones found here: https://bit.ly/3mMuMMU . That cleared the code right away, as the imbalance in readings no longer appeared. This is a simple bolt-on application and can be easily removed.

A few days later the CEL came on, and a P0157 code (Bank 2/Sensor 2) followed. The wiring appears to be fine, the harness doesn't appear to be damaged and I wasn't receiving this P0157 previously, which leads me to believe the sensor might be bad, though I have not popped a multimeter on the wiring, yet.

All of this to ask two questions:
    1. Am I on the right track with my diagnosis?
    2. Assuming the sensor is NOT bad, is there a work-around for this? Is there such thing as a tuning chip/OBD plug to account for the performance headers and exhaust?
The truck drives great and I can't see/hear/feel any performance issues, just the annoying CEL and not being able to use cruise control!

Thank you - I'd assume it's these guys that you're referring to.

Looks like they have remote tuning options - which is awesome, as I'm on the East Coast.

Yeah - I saw that as a possible trigger, too. My thoughts were it's header related, but I could be off base. Unfortunately, my local shop can't get me in for a smoke test for two weeks, but I do plan on doing that prior to ordering new sensors or doing a tune. Hopefully, that would be the most cost-effective repair if it's minor.

What kind of headers? what cats did they use?

I have stainless works long tubes, when using the cats they provided, I could never totally get rid of the codes and I've used at least 4 different variation of spacers, from simple 1" spacer to 90 spacers with drilled "grille" inserts in between, I was tired of keep playing with them so I had custom mid pipes made with OEM cats, if you have headers and it's leaking, you will hear it on these trucks.
