    Just wondering who has seen the most outlandish price on a tundra? My local dealer currently has a CPO 2020 TRD PRO with 20k miles. They are asking $69,988!!!!

    Around here they are selling SR5's for a minimum of $50,000! Crazy. I bought my truck in November of 2019 for OTD price of $36,800. My dealer has 3 of the exact truck configuration on the lot now with asking price of a tad over $50,000. They are crazy. No way I would pay that for an SR5 and if that is an indication of how Toyota is going to price new lower trim Tundras moving forward, then they have priced me out of purchasing a new truck. I will keep mine until the wheels fall off.

    I don’t think Toyota is pricing them at that price since the website show similar price from last year’s model. Mostly dealer mark ups.

    No one buys them at these prices (well not anyone with discipline), it’s a marketing strategy to make it look like supply is very low and demand is super high. Also creating a psychological factor to that everyone is buying one, thus one should as well. Getting folks to think they will have to pay their set price and need to get one or life is not satisfied.

    While in reality, volume is marginally lower. There are plenty when searching on carguru, autotrader. And just get a beater until after is a buyers market again.

    There are also dealers that will not sell over MSRP. I have one near me and that is their policy. Never above MSRP. This helps to keep the other dealers around them a little more conservative with their pricing. Only problem is there are still no TRD Pros anywhere near me...

    I just got a '21 TRD PRO for MSRP. Across town they had a '19 TRD PRO with 19K and worn tires (hauling something big, traded for an F350 diesel) and they wanted 1K less than MSRP and wouldn't budge, so I went new. They still have the TRD PRO last I checked if anyone in the Boise area is looking.

    I bought mine new in June 2019 for $38k + TLF. Base SR5 4x4. This may be the last generation of the Tundra V8 so dealerships are jacking up the price. No way I'm gonna pay $50k+ for a SR5.
