    Hello,

I'm hoping someone can chime in here, I'm having a ton of trouble getting my truck dialed in with the Camburg Balljoint UCAs. My setup is 6112 up front on top setting (2.4") and 5160 rear with 1" block. I've had it in for 3 alignments and 3 different spots. 2 of which sell and install lifts. I've asked per the Camburg instructions for 6* caster. I also called Camburg and confirmed that 6* is what they recommend. I've attached the 3 different alignments. Enough back story here's the numbers.

1st shop steering wheel was at 9 o'clock when driving straight, pulled bad, rubbed sway bar bad, they said that the tie rods were bottoming out, couldn't get the wheel straight.

2nd shop was a bro deal at a Buddys shop. Took super long to un do what the 1st shop did and got decent numbers wheel pulled to the right when driving and if you let go it would keep turning to the right. This got worse as the new springs settled in.

3rd shop now I've got 5,000 miles on the setup. Steering wheel is at 1130 they say the tie rod bottoms out before they can get the wheel straight. Drives great, slight pull to the right.

I've never had this many alignment problems with a vehicle, ever. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've called them to confirm they are confident aligning a custom rig, they assured me they sell lifts and put them on all day. The 3rd shop came highly recommended from TacomaWorld Nor Cal thread.

That sucks. Third alignment is not bad. You don’t need that much caster, try less to get away from bottoming the tie rods. More lift would help, and the inner tie rod can be cut shorter also.

So I have the same set up and I shared my alignment with you about a month ago. Turns out I had a bad pull to the right as well and ended up taking it back. They made a few adjustments and it only has a slight pull. They are blaming the tires. Have you tried rotating the tires? Not sure why you are rubbing. What are your tire specs?

The shop recommended trimming the inner tie rod to make it work. I’m not sure why Camburg would recommend 6* then. They also mentioned that the arms are probably meant for more lift. I got them because my stock UCA was contacting the spring at full droop.

I'll try rotating the tires, but my issue is now that they say they can't get the wheel straight because the tie rod bottomed out. Should I take the steering wheel off and put it on one spline to the right?

ive talked to a few alignment shops and they all said in my case the shop f'd up. but one really knowledgeable shop stressed it could indeed be the tires. before you do anything else you should rotate tires and see if it pulls toward that same tire then you know the tires are bad. are you on stock wheels?
