Congrats! That's a great deal.
I think some Toyota parts suppliers stopped selling the FSB due to poor packaging from Toyota that leads to scuffs and scrapes. When researching, I heard some stories about the bar being shipped without any packaging at all. Mine came from Sparks Toyota and they looked to have re-packed the bar and it was in perfect condition when I received it...hoping yours arrives in good condition too.:)

In the southeast, it's a port installed option. It's like $199, which is ridiculous because you can get them for $20 on Amazon or ebay.

That’s the whole reason my RCI tank skid is in the marketplace right now. I ain’t changing no gas tank straps. When I bought the skid they didn’t make mention of me needing new tank straps at all. They’ve since changed the site :annoyed:

Decided to do a little more work on the chrome delete today. Got the front end done and rear bumpers. It was all done with plastidip and spray can berliner. Now that I know I like it, might go something more permanent next time. Changed the headlights. Also installed TRD rear sway bar...

I just got off the phone with Texas tire who is the company that owns those wheels in that picture you posted. He said that they are powder coated black. Give them a shout. I spoke with Robert

Not a happy camper doesn't even BEGIN to cover how I feel today.

About 3 weeks ago, I headed up to one of my sites for a service call. After I get out, I notice a small crack in the windshield of my NEW TRUCK that I've had less than THREE WEEKS. *sigh*. OK, I call my insurance agent and discover to my delight that without asking me, she decided to set me up for NO DEDUCTIBLE glass insurance (instead of the usual $500 deductible)! (this is not the usual thing for VT, but I was thrilled!) Whew. Not on the hook for a new windshield.

I call a local glass replacement company that I've dealt with before - Champion Auto Glass in New Haven, VT - and they send out a tech named Les to replace my windshield.

Well, this guy is amazing - you can just TELL he's a total pro at this. Obviously knows what he's doing every step of the way. It's awesome watching a pro at work, and he was a pro. Here's a few pix.

    Pulling the old windshield off...
    20210330_093142.jpg

And putting the new one in.
    20210330_094936.jpg

Making sure it's properly in place - note the cool specialized hand crane used to set it in properly!
    20210330_095012.jpg

    And voila! New windshield!
    20210330_100727.jpg

And just to give them some well deserved publicity... (they're in Vermont, which is 802 - so that's why no area code on their van!)
    20210330_100802.jpg

BTW, did you know that you have to have Toyota spend TWO FRIGGIN' HOURS recalibrating the windshield camera after you get the windshield replaced? Yup, you do... and I did. A week ago today.

Well, fast forward to today, when I have to go replace a keyboard at the SAME SITE...

And a fucking BIRD hits my NEW WINDSHIELD on my NEW TRUCK at 55MPH!!!

    20210413_135119.jpg

    20210413_135131.jpg

    20210413_161338.jpg

Sometimes you're the windshield and sometimes you're the bird... I'm sure that the little bastard didn't survive the hit; it sounded like a friggin' GUNSHOT when that window cracked right in front of my face! But yeah... not a happy camper today.

Back to Champion Auto Glass on Thursday and then back to the Toyota dealership the next Thursday.

    So how was YOUR day?

Sorry about your luck. Maybe this will make you laugh. I remember in 8th grade I was riding the bus to school. Lived way out in the country. It was only me and these three snobby ass sisters on the bus that day. They sat halfway back on the passenger side and I sat right behind the driver because I couldn’t stand them. Out of nowhere a flock of turkeys take off across the road. One of them slammed right into the passenger front window and covered those girls in blood, guts, and shit. It was hilarious!

Operation I hate chrome is almost complete. Need a good blank panel for the trd pro grill, and need to remove the 4x4 badges. Then it’s just wheels. Also got the stickers on her. Loving this truck!

I’m still a fan of BFG KO2 Baja Champion tires. Had four E rated LT265/70R18 installed today and stainless mesh added over the cowl openings for rodent prevention. Only went one size over stock tires to leave plenty of room for heavy loads and/or rough terrain.
