TRX vs Tundra MPG (TFL)

I'm getting an avg of 20 mpg with a supercharger and 22in wheels. I know this is comparing mpg while towing, but I'm still impressed with the Toyota.

 

The Tundra got sightly better fuel economy on fuel that costs 20% less. Where exactly is the shame?

Yes, and then let's compare repair bills at 200k miles if that ram is even still running at that point. Dodges are sexy but until they have Toyota like reliability, forget it.

 

1 MPG with half the power. I think that’s what they’re getting at .

I linked that article in jest. Those guys at auto evolution seem to hate tundras. I’ve read a few of their pieces, and they always seem to set up the tundra to fail. If they compared one to a dead chicken, they’d probably prefer the chicken.

No, just going by what the truck says. Mostly highway driving and a little sideways when driving the on ramps.

 

You should hand calculate your actual MPG, because I can guarantee that you're not getting 20 MPG.

Supercharged trucks read stupid MPG figures (mine routinely says 19-20+ mpg) but I actually get to 13-14 on the highway unladen.

 

So buy the TRX for towing and the Tundra for off-roading?
