What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Dude, love the debadge and where'd you get those Old Glory colors for the TUNDRA emboss? Gorgeous!

 

SET had the option for LED interior lights for my 2020 1794. I didn't buy that option, but paid like $20 for an LED light kit for the Tundra, I believe off of Amazon. They are VERY bright. I was afraid they would be TOO bright for use at night but they haven't hurt my night vision when my wife has used them while I drove.

I got mine from Headlight Revolution, but only did so because I'm in Canada and getting parts up here isn't the greatest so just took the easy route. I've seen people post much better prices than I got, can't remember which dealer was the best. Do a search for online parts dealers and check out a few to compare pricing.

I’ll go look for them. My wife gave me the worst time about debadging my truck and buying a replacement factory sticker BORN IN TEXAS, BUILT BY TEXANS. They build them all in San Antone and the various dealerships outside Texas remove them when they get to the lots.

... you mean to the 2500+ HD diesel beasts, right @eick ? I’m perfectly happy with 9,100# of towing capacity in a half ton truck. After you boil down the specs, that’s all any of them really do unless you want to guinea pig that diesel junior Dodge is putting in their half tons.

 

Did you wrap the hood scoop?

 

Yea I’m not leaving the tundra for some other half ton. If I need to pull 15k though I’d have to get a bigger truck.

I’d rather just try to keep my trailer tundra sized than have to drive one of those other brands at this point. Can’t always do that though.

 

Once I get all the measurements right tomorrow, I could make you an stl file with Platinum on it and you could find someone local to print it for you.

I did a few things. Wireless charger, console safe, drivers side grab handle, color matched door handles and mirror covers, trd shift knob and trd intake.

 

For those who go this route, there are places online that will print that file for you too. in different materials, colors etc. https://www.shapeways.com/ is one example.

 

New steering wheel cover (pain in the ass but worth it). Installed new leather seats..... in love!!!

 

Which steering wheel cover did you use?

 

I ordered mine from sparksparts. but found that https://parts.lewistoyota.com/ runs a free shipping promo that would have saved me $75
