Thanks. I had it painted for about $225. The reflection from the sun was unbearable on the white scoop. I wrapped it for about a month till it grew on me then had a local paint shop spray it satin black. I've debated putting the hood decal under it to see if I also like that. The hood decal may camouflage the black scoop...I dunno, maybe, maybe not.

I think it’s so sexy on white tundras! I called a few places locally and was quoted $5-800 which is ridiculous to me? Idk maybe that’s fair but I’m not paying that. On Friday I delivered a pallet of HP vinyl to a tee shirt company that apparently wraps about 200 stock cars every spring. He told me he could do my truck under an hour for under $200. He’s a fellow tundra owner too. I got his cell and we are gonna hook up one Friday night and knock out the roof and a few Dos XX

Looks rough and "texturized." Is it possible to do a smooth version to match the rest of the trim?

I'm actually thinking about wrapping my roof in white. Hoping it would cut down on heat in the cab and also give the truck sort of a retro "FJ 40" look.

It is. He just needs to tweak his printing profile for his slicer before he slices the cad file for print.

Wondering more if it was a dealer installed upgrade. I’ve not seen anything anywhere offering it as a factory or port-installed option. Either way, that’s pretty cool.

Mine was showing that it was installed before arrival. I purchased my truck before it ever left the port.

How much time do you have? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .......... Eaton rear eLocker, Camburg 1.5” shackles, Rear Seat Delete, S&B CAI, sPOD, Air Bag Helpers w/ Daystar Cradles, RCI engine & fuel tank skid plates, ABS Guards, Job Box Storage, Tailgate Power Lock, Desert Eagle Offroad tranny/cat security skid plate, Added Driver’s Side Grab Handle, VLEDS Footwell & Step Lighting, Anytime Front Camera, Illuminated Ignition Ring, Console Molle Panel, Sound Dampening in Ceiling/Doors/Floor, Yakima Rack, Paracord Grab Handle Wraps, BD Underhood Light, Tuffy Console Safe Insert, WeBoost System, Midland GMRS Radio, Console Interior Lighting, Power Inverter, Custom Center Switch Panel, and Dual Air Compressors
Not too bad. Took less than an hour. Luckily I already had a stock skid plate so didn’t have to worry about the straps. I used four 1gal paint cans to set the plate on and get it roughly in position. I tried only two paint cans at first but the plate kept slipping off ever time I adjusted positions. Once the plate was off the ground, I could slip a floor jack underneath and used a scrap piece of 2”x12” lumber to raise it. Used one hand to hold the plate steady and the other to guide the jack to where I could line everything up and get the nuts started.

One note, I had to push the plate as far rearward as possible to clear the heat shield at the front of the fuel tank.

Mad props for you doing the cad work, that's beyond me, but I used to do 3DP instructional videos and have printed a crap load of corn. (PLA) I've done a fair bit of PETG and ABS too. I have WAYYYY to many 3d printers. I'm too busy with work to do the videos anymore.

I'm actually keeping it super simple. My mock up looks pretty good, just need to clean it up with better resolution on the next print and make my openings a little larger. Taking one of the plugs with me tomorrow, to check fitment, then stopping for interior paint on my way home.

Yeah I hope there are some good instructions of how to exactly install the tank bands. Don't remember if any other members here had to install the tank bands like I do since I have an SR5 that didn't come with a skid. Hopefully I don't have to drop the tank in order to install this thing. If so I have a lot of driving to do since the tank is about full.

    A bunch
Fairly easy, takes around an hour. If you're keeping the amber DRL and non-dimming LED ring then it's all done on the front end, nothing in the cab. Take off a few parts, remove the headlights, add resistors, plug in harness, plug in headlights, put it all back together. Check the OEM Parts thread by @Roman for part numbers.
