I am waiting only on the icon rear shocks resi with CDC....my SPC UCA’s arrived today....the Mevotech cost approx 100 dollars less....but every vendor I tried to order from only had the right UCA in stock....I placed an order from Auto Geeks because on their website the had both left & right Mevotech UCA’s....but they only had the right UCA....but they didn’t state that when placing the order....so Auto Geeks shiioped only one upper control arm...the passenger side....they had already shipped the mevotech UCA ....and then I received an email notification saying they were out of stock on the drivers side Mevotech UCA....and they didn’t know when they would be in stock....auto geeks refunded the cost of one mevotech control arm and shipped only one control arm....now that I have them side by side....I snapped a few photos and posted them....I can’t tell the difference...appears to be same build quality....the mevotech ball joint is shinier than the doc..,other than that I can’t tell the difference..,except spc UVA’s have spc stamped on them...they’re labeled L & R....Mevotech has no company label but does have a series of numbers......so for those that are wondering if there are any differences between SPC & Mevotech UCA’s....here’s a few snap shots....sunny in Gig Harbor Washington....everyone have a great day....Peace...

I just ordered a set of mevotechs from rock auto for far less than I could find spc's. I think like $440 or so. Anyway they are 100% the same for sure.

That’s where I started my search...a couple weeks ago....they only had the passenger side in stock and didn’t know when the drivers side would be in stock...so I couldn’t order from them...darn....

A lot of the Mevotech's have shipped with one UCA with a greaseable ball joint and the other UCA without a greaseable ball joint.

Sorry quoted the wrong image, might want to update the page. Lol, actually, I think the SPC is on the right side. I see the branding inside of where the ball joint mounts to.

Mevotech sucks. I installed FIVE or 5 the number 5 upper control arms on my Lexus gs300. Every minut movement Mevotech would groan. I spoke directly with mevotech, they asked for date code. Mevotech said they were old so I had to order more from Rock Auto who also suck. Impossible to speak with person at Rock Auto, they just keep sending replacement part after you pay for it and return the defective. Ofcourse Rock Auto says you don't have to use the warranty, WTF. By the way my had spherical bearings so it didn't matter where you tighten the bolts free hanging or wheel on ground but I did it every way possible. I wouldn't put Mevotech on a wagon. I told Mevotech I will send they back to them, oh no must return to Rock Auto. Two fuck up companies Rock Auto and Mevotech.

It's best to order SPC's from an authorized dealer. I'd stay away from Mevotech's. Seems to be a total crap shoot.

SPC tube arms look bigger, as well as cleaner welds. BJ seat on the SPC also appears to be seated further back than the Mevotech, not that it matters since the SPCs have caster adjustable BJ nuts.
Casting looks better on the SPCs as well.

Per SPC, the Mevotech are SPC for our trucks. They're the older version. This has been discussed @ length in the suspension section.

Yep, SPC sold old stock to the folks at Mevotech. A hodgepodge.....

Thanks for all the replies....I read them all and I am going to install the SPC’s....as a practice drill to familiarize myself with the removal and install of the icon coil overs....I removed original bilstein’s and installed quick lift...with a 1/4 inch plate on the top hat of the coil over.... from wulf suspensions....those darn coil overs are heavy....well heavy for this 62 year old man....ha....I didn’t have a 1/2 inch impact only a 3/8 impact...but all my 3/8 drive sockets were to small....so I used my torque wrench to remove the outrageous long bottom coil over shock bolt...needless to say after the coil over install I went directly to the hardware store and bought me a 1/2 drive impact ....not only one...but 2.....one light duty and one very heavy duty 1/2 drive cordless impact....ha....as i finished up and looked up all the torque specs....I finished up with a black eye....while torquing down the lower control arms my wrench slipped out of my hand..the truck was on jack stands...I was on my back in garage....and tourquing the hell out of the nuts to reach 207 lbs...that’s kind of difficult....well for me it was...I’m not that young whipper snapper I use to be...the wrench slipped off the lower control arm nut while I was on my back and the wrench hit me in the eye....I was bleeding and sure enough my right eye looked like I was a retired MMA fighter and trying to relive my younger days....all the guys at work thought I got into a fight...ha...lol...ya with a wrench...ha....anyways I learned a lot....the rancho shocks had been in my garage brand new unused since 2014....as I had bought a brand new 2013 Rock Warrior and planned to put the quick lift and rear rancho’s adjustable shocks on the rock warrior....but never did...lo and behold...the shocks and coil overs fit my 2018 tundra...I looked them up and decided to give it a try...so I installed all drop spacers and quick lift adjustable coil overs on the front and adjustable rancho shocks on the rear...with that 1.5 inch block above the axle....I’m a telling ya....now I know why we pay those suspension installers so much money...anyways the lift raised the front 2.5 inches and the rear 1.5 inches...so I might be ready to tackle the add a leaf’s....shackles...and icons...after watching many videos ....over and over....they make it look so easy...I Must say though...after the drivers side coil over install.....the passenger side went way faster...and smoother....anyways enough rambling....I’m learning a lot from you young guns....so keep up the good work...peace...
