Extended antenna works well. Still not even close to a hard mount or external antenna but much better than the little stocker.

Ah, the illusive @Darkness. For years I have longed to see this phenomenon. Allegedly, it passes over all parts of Southern California, but wherever I travel, it’s @Sunnier.

 

Some say he’s the wicked witch of the west, and that his truck literally floats, all we know is he’s called @Darkness

We’ll hit the trail immediately*, and push through ‘til sunset**, build a big fire and hang out, eat, drink, and be merry.


*actually, we’ll dither about taking pictures, waiting for at least one truck that’s late, then when we’re ready to go, we’ll have last-minute apologetic stragglers... so our use fo radio comms will begin.

**we’ll stop repeatedly for personal breaks... potty training or beer....

Hi @Sunnier !!!!! As of now count me in for May 22nd. I might be moving again at the end of that month but i should be good to go.

Here is a picture from my solo trip to mammoth last weekend. Weather is high 20 low 30's a night so it is campable right now forsure. Lots of snow still on the trails so dont go alone and get stuck.
