Any of you guys work with leather? Can anyone suggest a above average starter kit for a wallet? If it goes well I would further expand into tape holders, maybe even some tool pouches. As I do construction and yet to find a something that checks all the boxes. Or help point me in the right direction of piecing the tools I need together.

The local guy backed out on me after we got the design all worked out. And I have decided to do it myself, or least try to.... I’ve been looking on Amazon; and most of the reviews for the kits were pretty hit and miss. Any help would be appreciated. I do have the leather sheets already.

Check the build link in my signature.
I clicked thinking making leather - like tanning hides and all that. o_O I did it once with a rabbit pelt... was a real pain.

Never got into leatherworking - knew a few guys whose dads did it when I was a kid tho.

sorry... can really offer any help.

I started with this kit from Amazon ... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDMB7H5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8

    It's basic but for $20 it's a good start.
