Had one of these. Actually it's what I traded in for the Tundra. Was gonna keep longer, but one of the kids left a sippy cup full of milk under the passenger seat and it was in there a while. Milk turnt and leaked out onto the carpet. Just couldn't get the smell out. Had the wing and the faux wood interior trim pieces. Disc changer in the dash with a 3 disc cartridge thingy. Was a great car. Boring, but dependable.

I can already picture people modding the Mach E to put in something like the Maserati $3,000 active speaker exhaust pipe to sound like a v8.

Looking at my truck in the plate glass window of this building it appears that I've burnt out one of the led chips on the pass side bulb. Appears to be the "outer" side of the housing that dark again. Check this photo from my projector install before I went back to OEM. It was the drivers side back then. Passenger side now.

When I replaced with Katanas the other one was burnt out on one chip also. I assumed it was crummy LEDs.

Odd that this is number two. Anyone have ideas on where I can start checking for reasons why this would be happening?

Everything here is pretty much stock. Stock wiring. Relatively new relay, and foglight switch.

no sparky here, but a bad ground would allow irregular current that would shorten life of a delicate device.

    Nope, back in KY.

A return to budding trees, and thunderstorms on the horizon. Smell of rain in the air, and piss on the floor. Used shit tickets aplenty.

I'll have to investigate when I get time. Still unpacking, mostly.

I gave the 'Rolla some much needed maintenance before touching the truck today. Car got an oil change plus I replaced the O-ring on the timing chain tensioner I'm pretty sure was leaking. @empty_lord Have you seen any other common oil leaks on the 1ZZFEs?

    Tundy (3).jpg

Turned the crank until I heard the tensioner click.

    Tundy (5).jpg

Drove it afterwards and it ran great. I decided to treat the roof rust with some Rustoleum rust reformer. I will do at least one layer with flat black rattle can - don't really care how nice it looks.

    Tundy (7).jpg

After I toyed around with the car I messed with the Tundy and did a drain-and fill of both the transmission and transfer case. Transmission spat out around 3.7ish quarts and was only slightly discolored. The pan was dropped around 70K ago so I will continue to just drain and fill, next one will happen when I do the engine oil which won't be due for a bit.

    Tundy (12).jpg

With my setup the dome lights aren't too helpful even with LEDs. I'm working on adding some LED strips, will square it out and maybe add another strip of lights down the middle. I bought some fabric I plan to tack on the headliner because I'm sick of the current color. I won't do the whole headliner, just inside the square created by the light strips

Headgaskets like to seep out the back of the motor, but never terrible. Other than that valve cover gasket or timing cover seeps. Mine leaked most of its life. But never enough to worry. Treat that engine good and it’ll be with you the rest of your life.

Good to know. It's never been a terrible leak but enough to keep an eye on. Car's got about 150K and my Tundra has 155K - hoping to treat both right the rest of my life, if life allows.

The 06 corolla I had made it to 880k before the accident. And even with the axle shoved through the engine block and hitting the crank, it ran like a fucking top. I loved that little shitbox. The car I took my drivers test in

I don't think I ever shared this video. This is where the Taco guys talked about me going so slow. It was true.

This is a few miles from the TN border in NC. It took us 3 hours to go around 6 miles. I learned that my truck gets real hot in 4Hi at low speeds. Going forward I'm pretty much going to stay in 4Lo if I'm going slow.

Honestly, I think it was my suspension setup. I was getting beat up so bad and they were fine. Plus I'm so much heavier(I assume). I've come to love my Icons on pavement, but I'd like to try something else off-road.

We actually could have taken your truck. It would have added a fun layer to it. :)

With the right tires, you could have made it through most of it.
