Splash Seal Question

    Before I spend money on something I know nothing about I wanted to see if I could get some folks to chime in on my plan. I recently purchased a 2011 Tundra. The front left wheel well has a guard that is torn so the pin is not able to hold it up. I am not very handy or good doing things on my own but wanted to try to do this so I searched the forums and online for ideas.

    I found this option on ebay and this option on
    $90 Splash Seals for 2007-2024 Tundra & Sequoia Set of Four with Clips & Tool (Fender Liners, Aprons, Shields, Splash Guards, Skirts, Guards, Seals, Splash Seals) U
    amazon. I have attached a pic for reference. Assume I know nothing and I am not proud. I just appreciate this forum so much. Would you all go with the ebay option?

    I would just buy that piece and get a genuine Toyota one. I'd also buy all new clips since they aren't always willing to come out in one piece. The aftermarket stuff is often more cheaply made and sometimes has fitment issues.

    Check out the ARK splash guards. There was a group buy on them a couple months ago. They are MUCH nicer that stock ones. Thick one piece design that covers the entire wheel well.

    Thanks to both of you. Where is the website you all order genuine toyota parts from? Are splash guards and splash seals the same thing?

    They make a tool to remove those clips that would be worth getting. If the rubber is in good shape you sometimes can stretch it around the head and not remove the clip but it's far easier to pull all the clips out. Getting the clips out is the hard part (not that it's too hard). Otherwise it's very simple.

    I just wanted to thank everyone for replying and giving me options. I was leaning towards ARK splash guards but 07 Tundie convinced me to roll the dice! I will post the results. Thanks again. This place is great.

    As promised .. I wanted to say that I was really impressed with these upon purchase. I agree they seem to be thicker than the OEM ones and more solid. The clips that came with them worked well, too. Thanks again for all the advice and I would recommend.
