I bought a RAM B-size Offroam mount on which I mount Garmin GPS navigation.

The small bolts come with the mount can be soft. Be careful not to strip them.

I use this guy in my F350 dually service body with G rated tires. Hitting a pothole in this thing feels like a train going off the tracks. Still, I'll take this thing down dirt roads and I'm constantly hopping curbs. My coffee may be everywhere when I get where I'm going but my phone doesnt move a hair. I can confidently say there is not a more secure holder on the market. All our service vehicles have them. Oh, I also use a Samsung Note, a notoriously large and heavy phone. Good luck

If you decide to remove it, you can just put the rubber pad back on over it.

One of my favorite features of the truck is the way I can rotate the vents any direction I want to,Do all of these vent mounts get in the way of that?

The 12v outlet is kind of tucked away in the Tundra, this one might not be too good for it.

Ah, the hondo garage wouldn't be the one for ya then.

The rago would solve all of your problems despite your hesitancy to install.

Or the pro clip. I bought my wife a proclip and its super easy to install and secure. The mounts snap in and you adjust the phone holder with a screw.

Its a disk that sticks to a flat surface. Not in the outlet. I put it here in my Tundra but it does block the 4wd controls when the phone is up

I am not the O.P. and am not actually looking to replace any of the many Scosche units that I run in 5 different vehicles,I am convinced that they are the one for me.

I have never really thoght about the Rago either,I like to keep things out of my direct line of view in general and prefer a Garmin GPS sitting there easily when I do and easily picked up when I dont.

I have used the Pro Clip,Ram,Pelican,Log Ball and none do the job for me across all of the vehicles as flawlessly as the Scosche, just the way it is.

I found one that sits in the cup holder for cheap. Bendable arm and magnetic. Works well and I can use the useless cup holder under the center controls.

Ok, let me explain it to you. I loved my scosche but this is why I prefer the pro clip.

    DF2B6F90-8FE6-49B2-9BF3-97A6A510F9D4.jpg

Since my iPhone has wireless charging which I use, I can only mount the scosche magnetic plate on the lower portion (which occasionally still interfered with wireless charging). Because of the position of the magnet, I can’t turn my phone horizontally to watch full screen videos, too much weight on one side and it droops down. Aside from that, every time I go off roading, it falls off the magnet. I got tired of adjusting it and went with the pro clip which is extremely solid. That sucker isn’t going anywhere and I can turn it horizontally and vertically effortlessly. Hopefully that explains it. End of the day, go with what works best for you. My $.02

OK now I understand what you were saying.
I have none of those issues or requirements really and still prefer the Scosche which works well for me everywhere so far.

I have also had issues getting a Pro Clip to Clip into the slot before in different vehicles and decided it just was not worth the effort for what it promised based on this but happy that YMMV too.

All I was saying is the I think you had confused me with someone who did resist trying the Rago, that was not me.

You’re right, my mistake. Your question made me think you were looking for something that didn’t interfere with your vents.

It is. You take the Rago off and put the little Toyota matt down to cover the holes and you have the useless dash divot back to normal. :)
