I thought about that prior to approving the repaint. Figured my statement from Toyota on why it was repainted should cover any what if’s or speculation reference why it was repainted if ever questioned. We shall see what happens in the future, for all I know I get T-boned on my way home tonight and it’s a non issue :eek2:

So, it's been several months. How has the new paint held up @Flying Fuzz ?

@AzureNightmare I ended up trading it in on a new Raptor towards the end of NOV2020. So only had it for about a month after repaint.

Well damn. You were the only one who had anything done about the discoloration.

Have you put up pics of the raptor on here? Link to thread?

@AzureNightmare It looked great up until the day I sold it. Made a huge difference since it no longer looked discolored. Toyota outsourced the paint and I think they repainted the entire truck because I had some dings in the bed sides that were gone. The bill was in my Toyota paperwork and it was $6200

Here’s the Raptor 802A with tech package, fully loaded, even has built in ATV ramps. In SEP2020 I purchased a Leitner forged rack for the Tundra and it wasn’t delivered until a few days before Christmas. It ended up fitting the Raptor which was a plus.

I’ve had Two Tacoma’s (2008 & 2018) two 4Runners (1993 & 2012), wife drives a 2018 Rav4 Adventure and I had the Tundra so this is my first experience in a Ford. It’s a beast for sure but I’m waiting to see what the 2022/2023 Tundra looks like.

Nice. Those raptors are good looking trucks. Were they more in my price range, and I wasn't going to a single vehicle, they would have been a top pick for me, too. Glad to see you stuck around on the forum, even if you moved to a new truck. The community is stronger than the brand of truck we drive.

 Time for Toyota to bring out a truck to compete with the Raptor. Although I vomit a little every time I say I drive a Ford.

Where in the PNW are you located? Toyota of Marysville is the dealership that processed my paint defect so they’re aware of it happening. If you’re local might be best to have a dealership that has history with it. I can give you a POC if needed.

Actually, that's not too far from me in Redmond, maybe 35 miles or so.
I'm headed back to SoCal in a few weeks so I won't have time to mess with it... and in reality, I probably won't worry about it unless it gets really noticeable or starts to peel or flake. If anyone notices and asks me about it I'll just tell them its custom.
But thanks for the heads up... there's several Tundras.com folks in this neck of the woods that may need that info in the future.
