I had some pretty questionable relationships before giving up and just slinging ding-a-ling and generally being an a-hole.

Then, I went to the mall one day to buy some shorts. I saw a gal I knew in Pacific Sunwear, so I dropped in to have a chat. I noticed her boss was a total babe and asked about her. My intentions were impure...but Kelly was a badass up to the task of fending off my advances. I still try to grab her butt when I shouldn't and get excited when she holds my hand.

Sometimes, the universe has a way of working itself out.

To understand the worst and best in people you must understand the worst and best in you. I fully support plan "full monk" until the time when Noah is ready to dethrone Anheuser Busch as the largest beer manufacturer in the US.

I've been seeing a lot of newer Yota sedans on stretchers lately going to the shop.
What's going on? New drifters coming to this side and neglecting maintenance / poorly cared for lease vehicles?

I thought the whole point of owning a Toyota was that they require no maintenance...

You admit you were wrong or mistaken? You must not be an engineer or a tig welder! Get either of those guys to admit fault and I would assume there was much alcohol involved.

There has to be a model for the adoption of a brand, how fast they grow, when they finally reach cult status, and when they betray the principles that got them the status and growth.

I thought starbucks made coffee, but when I've heard people talk about going there it sounds like a dessert order. I hope toyota isn't deciding flavored dessert drinks are better than a strong shot of espresso.

I have no problem admitting I was wrong. I've only removed them once but it must have been the part that pops out that looks like a 5 sided screwhead that got me thinking it unscrews.
I'll make sure not to offer @MrDirtjumper any advice from here on out ;)

I've taken mine off at least 2-3 times and I couldn't have told you either way. They look like screw jobs to me at a glance though. I guess I got it right because I don't remember breaking any.

I came across these on FB marketplace. They were listed for $200...I thought he might have meant each and they were overpriced...nope, it was for all 5. I feel like I stole them. They are off an FJ Cruiser. The tires are not great, but serviceable... maybe 10k miles left, though I only bought them for the rims. I was going to put them on my 4Runner, but now I'm thinking about putting these on my Tundra (with new shoes) and my TRDs on the 4Runner. The black one is just like the rest only with a bad plasti-dip job...any plasti-dip experts have advice on removal?

Are these the same offset as the TRDs? I have been looking for a set to put on my truck. I still think the stock tundra wheels are some of the best looking factory Toyota wheels ever made.

I don’t have my PE yet but I have to admit that I’m wrong basically every single day. I think the reason that engineers get that rep is because every professional decision we make we have to be prepared to justify it.

    Plus, I’m married.

You’ve gotta know that I was giving you a hard time. Butthole is pretty much the nicest term I’ve used to refer anyone around here.

Or legitimately proud of making a decision to wait and being able keep to it? Studies actually show that people who wait until they are married enjoy sex more, have it more often, and have healthier relationships. Not all, but many. Never understood the stigma about being a virgin. Not like it's super hard to get laid if that's all you're after.

The problem with most engineers I've worked with is that if they aren't the smartest person in the room they get upset.

I've met quite a few engineers and they often remind me of car salesmen. I was about 70% ashamed to tell people when my title was manufacturing engineer. I often just said the truth and said "I do design and prototype".

I’ve worked with a few that are good. Most draw these vague designs and then put an addendum ‘final measurements confirmed in field’ and then get wonder why its not perfect like on paper.

Had one ‘complainer engineer’ who over designed his house and the contractor didn’t realize what he was getting into until it was too late. ‘Complainer’ calls me after and asks if I’ll look at fixing many of the items 2 years later post lawsuit. I give price and he complains about that. Most are like him. They are not satisfied unless its cheap. When they get cheap then they ‘complain’ about quality afterwards so that it needs to be rebuilt.

‘Complainer’ wants top notch but only willing to pay Jackleg prices. His actual DIY repairs stuff looked like butt.

As an engineer, I typically don't talk about my work since it just bores people to tears. I just tell them I work at the bomb factory which is partially true as it incites more interest.
