    Hi all, long time lurking.

Looking for some feedback so I can decide if I need to order something additional here.

    2021 tundra crewmax Sr5 4x4

ordered from toytec the eibach 2.5” lift coilovers and 1.5” toytec shackles for rear along with rear eibach matching shocks.

planning to run 295/70r18 on 18x9 (+20) wheels.

Got a front bumper shim kit coming from CB to push that out 0.5”. Am I going to clear the body mount with this setup, or do I need to either do the BMC beforehand, or buy some CB top shims for the coilovers??

having a shop install, so trying to make sure I have everything I need. Would like to avoid BMC.

    thanks!!!

CB shims, 2 driver and one passenger. I have the 2.5 Eibach springs and it sat low driver side.

you will need to remove the front spat and possibly trim the front fender liner and the mud flap. it is doubtful that you will need to do the cab mount chop.

I thought about doing this, but my current measurements (stock) are 36 3/4” front driver, and 36 and 7/8” front passenger. So basically dead level as-is.

do you think I’ll still need to do this with the 0.5” CB bumper shims installed first? Either way seems pretty minor and something I don’t have an issue doing

Factory springs are designed for the lean, Eibachs are not, it will lean a little more.

I also removed the factory mud flaps and installed some basic black Rallyarmor ones that fit tighter to the wheel well.

yeah... it is super easy. it will be close even with the 0.5" bumper shims.

before you take your truck in for the installation, remove the front spats and the front mud flaps. when you get back home, then you can try putting them back on and see where they might rub. you can also do this with the front liner.... remove it before the installation just to be safe.

checkout my trimming thread for removal and trimming:
Trimming front bumper liner and mudflaps | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

you dont want the shop to hack up your plastic to make the tires clear.

Did you just trim, or did you trim and pull it forward too?

    Thanks!

I've done the pulling forward and re-screwing, but it only moved about 1/2"

I'll have to see if I can remove, trim and pull and gain any more...while I stall my lift/level.

Yeah, I took the liner off and then drilled new holes for the new position. Then, I trimmed the liner to accommodate the new position. That gave me an extra inch of clearance.

Did the trimming, gained a lot of room and still have the bumper shim kit coming from CB.

question: I ordered some top shims from toytec (0.5”) as a plan B, in case the eibach coilovers don’t give me the advertised 2.5” of lift. Trying to figure out if I should just have them installed with the kit, or wait and see if I need it. Hate to pay for double the work..... but also don’t want to end up with too much lift if I don’t need them. Is there any way to compare or figure it out without trial and error?

I would do the drivers side for now and check after they settle. I am however putting in shims this week, 2 driver and one passenger to get it where I want it.

I have the 2.5 inch springs on some Bilsteins and have a good half inch driver lean.

    Got all my goodies.

Also of interest....new coilovers measure 2’ 1”, which is only interesting because I’ve seen other members on here measuring these as they come at 2’ even. Might install with no shims and see how it looks first.
