What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Got my black bumper covers installed and also got the Diode Dynamics SS3 fogs installed! Loving the look! Next is for the grill and hood bump!

Had a cute helper along the way!

 

Drug the lift out of the sand bc I couldn't get my hands on the tractor..

 

If you find a boom lift that won't get stuck, I am in the market for one.

 

Looks good. How was the install for the SS3's ? I have a set that I have yet to put on. I found one video online that did a decent walk through but I was curious how your experience was and if you have any tips/tricks ? Did you go through the wheel wheel ?

Looks good and nice rig. I did the same months ago and forgot to post.

 

I did mine 1-2 months ago now and it was really simple going through the wheel well. 20-30 mins tops. Only tip/trick I have for you is use a pry tool to take “liner extension seal,” which is the clip that holds the 2 bolts inside the wheel well, to do it slowly. I broke the left side and bought a replacement a week ago that cost about $18 because I’m getting new bumper caps to color match. Besides that, I used 2 zip ties per fog light to secure in place because it was loose after taking out the stocks. Other than that, the SS3’s are a huge improvement

Convinced myself I need to "invest" in theft deterrent plates..... I need to stop staying up so late at night.....

 

Install of the light was super easy...I did go through the fender wall...only thing I did was break the bracket that holds the liner in place...its plastic an its very easy to break so go slow...I read before the install that the light is a little wobbly and I found that to be the case so I used some zip ties and after getting them on it did not move! There is not a set location to put the zip ties, I just connected some and looped it around the light then around the big metal bracket above the light...it is a little tight in there but it can be done...

What did you go with for the grill surround?

 

Threw on a Gator tri-fold soft cover

 

i ordered the TPO for the bumpers (front and rear) and ordered the glossy black for the grille surround/bulge....i have the midnight black metallic truck but didn't want to wait for the color match on the grille

 

He charged me $350, I gave him $400 because I was glad someone could do it. I had it sitting at another shop for 3 months (kept getting the run around) so I picked it up from him last Friday, dropped it off at another place same day and the other place did it Monday.

 

i've been looking into a tri-fold cover.....does that one flap while driving on the highway? i think it would drive me nuts to know it was flapping.

 

My Ram 2500 has one like that on it and it doesn't move up to 90mph (that's as fast as I have "experimented" with it.).

 

Doubled up on a popular 4-legged mod. The male is 14 months old and the little girl is 11 weeks. Already saw a bump in MPG.
