    “Stretch” I love it :rofl::cheers:

I haven’t talked to Matt yet, but definitely will be when it’s suspension time. I’ve only heard good from him.

Lol! I’m sure I’ll be there for years to come  #wherearemyroyalties

I got the AJT blackout kit as a gift from Bre and got to installing a majority of it tonight :)
Definitely was intimating drilling holes in dash pieces haha. I was more eager to cut and weld the cab mount than drill into some plastic

Got the steering wheel logo cover done, vent rings, AC controls, shifter and cup holder. I still need to swap the radio knobs and 4x4 knob.

I’ll need to take a better pic during the day

Swapped the radio knobs on break. Was a simple pull the old off and push the new on. All that’s left is the 4x4 knob :woot:

Have you gotten the 8112s yet? Inquiring minds (mine) wants to know!

Haha I’m still an inquiring mind myself

Not yet. It’ll probably be a while. Still trying to weigh out what’s next on my shopping list. I believe I’m going to prioritize skid plates next. After that it’ll be a big save for either 8112 or 37 and regear.
I’ll likely need tires by the end of the year and could stick with 35” on stock gears, or run 37” and have read a bunch about 37” on stock gearing. It’s 50/50 but collectively don’t do it if you tow, and the lady and I are shopping travel trailers. Chances are I’ll go suspension and run another set of 35” but still going to be awhile before I actually order a set of 8112.

To the best of my research the 8112 is more or less a traditional coilover but has a bump zone to mimic a hydraulic bump stop.

Mike, why is this preferable to installing good coilover shocks and separate bump stops? I mean, that’s more to fail in one component. What am I missing?

I’ve only heard good things about Matt and MCM. Whatcha looking at?

Definitely “more to fail”. There are three pistons inside the coilover body for the various zones. One to prevent top out, one for the ride zone, and one for bump zone.

A dedicated coilover and bypass would be best but that’s expensive - yet may be the route I take. For now the 8112 (in the limited reviews I have seen) are very promising for an out the box awesome coilover. And that could change because I have been looking at MCM for a package deal, but also keeping an eye open for used deals.
In the end it’s all fluid :)

Haha that too. The “rare” factor adds to the desirability.

    @Sunnier

    I forgot to add:

Also the 8112 fits within stock location. No need for aftermarket LCA and secondary shock hoop, or hydro bump + cans. The “plug and play” aspect to the 8112 is so simple and I’m under the impression very effective as well.

If I were to go LT or even stock length lowers then this would be a different story, but that’s significantly more $$$

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about options

In the end I’ll likely jump on a good deal, but if not, Bilstein is top of my list.

Eventually swap to LT or stock length lowers with a bypass. I know I know, buy once cry once, but that’s so far in the future that there will be a middle step. Bre and I are also looking at travel trailers, UTVs, and getting into a home of our own. So many pots on the fire so-to-speak.

Oh my gosh, you’d better watch out for kids , a known side-effect of all that nesting bliss you’ve been sucked into. :boink:

Ask @Tony. Or @Marty what kids do to a mod list. :angrygirl:

Right now I'm mainly deciding on the springs to haul that beast. He's got a set of Deaver's that he thinks will handle if not, he'll build a custom leaf pack using the OEM and Deaver leaves. Also looking at the ADS coils with the MCM UCA.

MCM Fab over in Vegas. Matt built the cantilever set-up for my long travel 1st gen, and is a main source for ADS shocks. Good dude, does good work.

If you go 8112s up front and 8110s in the rear what spring pack would you get?

I have spoken with Matt at MCM as well. I had plans to go full ADS with triple bypasses and custom spring packs but apparently my divorce is going to be more expensive than I thought. Such is life.

Im not sold on the 8110 for the rear yet.

I’d like to go with an under the bed shock relocation to get a little extra length in the shock. MCM makes one Ive seen on a friends truck that looks great. Run that with a set of Deaver U748, triple bypass, and stock height or 1” lift shackle.

Sorry to hear about the expensive divorce :(
When my parents split they practically drained their accounts during the process, it wasn’t fun.
I have the opposite expenses coming up, planning a wedding for next year.

MCM makes a rear shock relocation? I can find one by him that's spring under, but the only spring over that I've found is Camburg. Have any pictures of your friends setup?

Matt, MCM, make UCAs for our trucks that work better, have a better geometry, than anything else I've tried.....and I've tried a LOT of 'em.

MCM or TC for UCAs been the easiest to work with for our trucks.

Haha yes @eccracer104 please finish all the mods on your truck before any kids. Diapers, formula and so on isn’t cheap. Btw as they got older it’s not any cheaper. They start playing sports, or joining things they like to do and and nothing is cheap now in days. I’ve considered leaving them stranded on our trips but I didn’t think @Sunnier would allow that haha
