Based on how things are going right now, I would imagine the price is majorly inflated on the pro right now.

prices are bananas right now. I bought my 2015 sr5 with 40k miles 18 months ago for $26k out the door. if autotrader is an accurate measure of value, i could sell it for closer to 30k now, after adding 12k miles.

Yea, that's what got me looking at first, I have got two trucks from this dealership and would have still been a good deal, but mine will be paid off with next 3 months. I had even thought about just selling it out right and paying off things, working towards being debt free.

Indeed they are. I’m selling my 2019 DC to Carvana for $5,300 MORE than what I paid for it new 2 years ago. I found a new 2021 DC discounted about $2,000 that I’m upgrading to. I am going to move all my mods over to the new rig like @Tundra234 did.

Prices have been crazy, Carvana has the most ridiculous pricing system currently.

It’s insane. My current offer increased more than $4,000 from the last one I got in January.

Most 2021 Tundras are selling for MSRP. I found 2-3 on the east coast that are discounted $1500-$2000, they just happen to be in the configuration and color I want. But pretty much everything is at or above MSRP. Small dealers have no inventory, large volume dealers have some inventory.

    Great problem to have!

Do what works best for you. Having said that, the Pro is nice, but if your current 18 limited is running well and getting close to paid off then i don't think its worth it. The new Pro's are based on the limited anyway, so idk what you would be getting except for a new suspension that you could likely have for MUCH less than the cost of rolling the truck into a 21. Not having a car payment is a great way to setup for your next big purchase or catch up on other things.

If your a "go Pro or go home" kinda guy, then ok do it, but to me you have 97% of a pro already...why pay a 20% fee for the extra 3%?

    Good luck with your choice!

Just pull the trigger on it, you only live once and there's nothing like the smell of a new truck.

Beautiful truck, I would get the pro. I'm sure you will get a good trade in offer and also get to start over with the Mods. :spending:

If you get the 2021 and they change the model to a 6 cyl as planned you will have the last year of a collectable! LOL

So what does the 2021 have that the 2018 does not ?

If the answer is less miles, a shinier coat of paint, cool new stickers - stay with what you have.

If the answer is its not in need of major repairs, it has a feature that I need and can't add to the 2018 or the '18 is simply not useful anymore - upgrade.

With what limited info we have - appearsyour not really missing out on anything with the '18 that a '21 would have - at least anything that can't be added at a reasonable cost. (Less than the cost of a trade in and added payment).

For me - it was a tough call giving up my 2012 Silverado....and that was to get the V8, 4 wheel drive and other performance upgrades - along with the creature comforts. Your jump seems shorter..so easier to stay with what you have.

If you're going to mall crawl it, just keep the 18. The TRD Pro deserves to get dirty and bruised off-road.

Traded my 2007 for 2016, The 2007 was paid off, I gained a new color truck with fewer storage compartments, no grab handle, and worse seats. Both great trucks but looking back it was not worth the extra $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

OP, need these 3 questions answered to tell if it's worth it or not?
    Price of new pro?
    Mileage on your 18?
And price there giving you for your 18?

Update. Kept having issues with from CV boot axle leaking and had 83000 miles on the the truck, Dealership offered me 35000 trade in, with small dents in two doors, so took and and upgraded to 2021 MGM Nightshade. Now it is time to start over with the mods.IMG_1244.jpg ghtshade.
