After reading this thread I've came to realize I'm the only idiot in this group :crapstorm:

I only had a little over an hour between jobs to seal the deal on my 21 TRD Pro LR MSRP was $55800 then the $15k Dealer Tip for selling me their only one. I paid $71000 and some change before taxes, registration and all the add ons like extended warranty, GPS service, Paint warranty for 5 years, Service warranty for 6 years. Everything was like $80k If I had time I would've haggled more but the wife said just do it already.

I'm in Ca and still looking for the 4runner every one that I find is $15k-$20k markup and noone will budge so must be a another sucker out there somewhere. I'm not doing this twice. I need to hire one of you to come do my deal!!:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Paid $36K for 2016 Platinum 4x4 with 3" lift, Retrax aluminum tonneau, predator steps, new 20" KO2's and 69K on the odometer (that also included Toyota bumper-to-bumper for additional 48K miles =117,000 coverage) . Interior in like-new condition and exterior in very-good condition!! its 5 years old, but looked and drove extremely well.

LMAO I'm probably the poorest one here too. I couldn't believe they approved me. I did give them a $39,000 Trade in with a 2011 Silverado 2500HD LTZ only 44k miles on it but the dash was cracked in multiple spots from GM using cheap material and the Sunroof was broke which was minor to them.

    $17,000 for 2007 DC 5.7L SR5 with 111,000 miles.

Bunch of new stuff...exhaust, alternator, serp belt, Bilstein 5100's in rear, a/c compressor.

Very good condition, not bad underneath, but def has one hole through bed from rust.

    Needed tires.

    Fisher snow plow.

I’ve been buying, selling and working on cars for 30 years so I do a thorough inspection and drive. I’ve never bought a brand new car and have never had any issues.

No offense, but I like letting others take the depreciation hit.

I agree buying used is money smart. If you don’t buy lemon. Kudos to your knowledge on buying & selling!

Had to special order because that color is hard to find so I wasn't able to dicker much
We always buy new because we keep them long time. Still hanging onto my 2010 w 147K miles on it to use for plowing and hunting/beater truck- bought that in 2009!
Not sure if I was taken but as I say had to special order for the color and that pkg. Good luck here in the northeast finding a dealer with any Tundra sitting on the lot for more than a few days.

Ordered a platinum MGM for 54k plus Tax title. No add ons besides the moonroof. Getting 33k trade in on my 18 Tacoma. So essentially 36k with tax savings. This is the only platinum coming for awhile so I figured its sticker Or nothing. Arrives mid May.

Wow, hats off to you for being willing to admit that. That’s almost criminal on the part of that dealer.

$45k + tax for a 2021 CM SR5 TRD O/R. Due to the shortage the dealer wouldn't come down much off the MSRP (some dealers wouldn't budge one bit). I almost walked away but this was the exact truck I wanted and didn't want to miss out. They did however buy out my lease which still had 8 payments left on it which saved me about $3k.

Paid $37,500 for 21 DC SR5 4x4 in the end of December 2020, with minimal extra equipment (only spray in bedliner and alloy wheels. Didn't want the wheels, but they were already on the truck). MSRP was $41,700. Had to go to Virginia (I'm in NC) to find the spec I wanted.

Think I may have posted here, but I think I got pretty lucky last March.

    - 2020 CM in Voodoo Blue
    - SR5 Upgrade, Blackout, TRD Off-Road Packages, bedliner
    - Lifetime engine warranty (as in, unlimited miles/unlimited time - that's what they actually wrote on the paperwork)
    - $200 credit towards parts
    - First 4 oil changes free
    - Before trade-in, was $41.7K

    Mostly stock, for now
Just recently bought a 2018 dbl cab SR5 trd and paid $34,500.00 out the door. But it took me a while to get them down to where I wanted. I had to start walking out twice and one of those times I was in my Silverado ready to drive away. It was listed for 40k and had 47,000 miles on it.

I see a trend developing with the the New models. The good deals to be had are going to be harder to come by. The law of supply & demand rules.

This is bonkers... paid $34k less than a year ago...

Edit: Just realized I forgot to adjust the mileage, barely over 30k.
