    As I mentioned in an earlier post, I first encountered this problem with an '03 4Runner I used to own. When I belonged to a 4Runner forum, and this discussion came up, a member (who shall remain nameless) actually suggested to the group that one raise the vehicle on jack stands, get underneath the vehicle, and kick the tires from the back side to break them loose. Needless to say, I strongly objected to that method. Way too dangerous, IMHO. And kinda stupid, again IMHO. :eek2::annoyed::frusty::frusty::frusty:

    I also have used a big dead-drop mallet instead of my foot. I would stand with my back to the wheel, with vehicle on jack stands, and smack the tire sidewall while rotating the wheel. That method would often work unless the wheel was really stuck.
