looks great. How was the yotaled install? Does it just use a “tap a fuse” for the install?

It was easy, the directions are a little vague but I understood what they meant.

It’s a super nice kit, aluminum sandwich plates for each light and the wiring harness is solid and all ready to go. Just zip tied it along the hood and down to the battery side. I just had to cut a slit in the fuse box lid in the back so the wire could go into it.
So, there’s a ground wire and a hot wire. The end of the hot wire has a stacked, double fuse holder on it. There was a 2amp fuse already installed in it, then you take your ignition fuse out of the fuse box and plug that into the open spot on the double fuse holder. Then you just plug the double fuse holder into the spot where the Ignition fuse came out of and your done!

Would it "fix the gap" if someone put a sequoia aftermarket onto the tundra?

You mean bumper? It's been done, but the Sequoia bumper looks fat on our trucks. There's a pic here somewhere, might even be in this thread.

Done with the grille and Alpharex headlights. All installation was pretty easy - except that I broke off the attachment piece that holds the headlight washer cover onto the mechanism on the passenger side unit. So I lost the cover. I have a replacement cover but the small plastic piece that connects the two is gone. Anyone have a DIY fix? I’m thinking a small bolt with the head cut off, glue the two together...

just ordered the grill and bulge, I ordered the same strip from Amazon you did, did you add any extra adhesive to the strip?

So far it is holding up well. I only used the adhesive it came with. You will need to press hard for to get it to hold well and it takes a few times to get the gap coverage consistent. The material is super soft and easy to work with and worst case scenario, you will have material to do it again if the first attempt falls off. Good luck!

Finally received and installed the grill. Only broke 2 of the 5 yellow clips mentioned in this thread. I got anxious and didn’t get them replaced seems to be holding up great. It looks like they are there used as guides or to help hold the grill to remove and re-install the 10 bolts. The gap is larger then I’d wish it was but the grill definitely improves the look.

Here are some before and after pictures.

Got the grill and moulding ordered, and took the advice of the person who posted the other part numbers for the various tabs and bolts. I'm trying to decide if color matching makes since due to the cost of doing so, or will the black match up well with the pyrite mica color?

All done and it was quite easy. One thing I hadn’t read was how the bulge attached to the grille but I figured it out. Love not having the chrome grille anymore!! Thank you everyone who helped with the parts list and instructions. New bumpers are next.

Thank you!! I was going to get it color matched but the wife really liked the look of the black, plus it saves $150-200 for the cost of color matching which I can put towards the bumpers.

I almost left mine but it looked good with the color matched bumper. If you get a black bumper it should really tie it all in. I like how they did the “Toyota “ in that subtle grey.

My wife said the same thing; she thinks a black bumper will really look good with the grille. I may try plasti dipping the bumper to see how it looks.
