I did not since I was mainly interested in increasing load capacity, but I ended up with a 1.5" lift. I wouldn't be surprised if they could build you something to meet your needs if the HD replacements wont get you to where you want to be. Ask for Bob, he seemed very knowledgeable.

    anybody got any ideas:

truck was cruising along at 55, shutters/downshifted hard, pops a/t oil light and won’t accelerate. Coast in the turn lane and shut the truck off. Go to re-start and truck turns over and tries to start but won’t hit. Put it on rollback and sent it to the house.

That’s what I’m afraid of, sucks when the trucks only got 148k.

gonna be ironic if the Toyota lost a transmission instead of the dodge :bananadead:

well the dodge is a manual. first thing i'd do is pull the inspection plate and see if the flexplate cracked or something.

I kid about the dodge, the dodge had the factory clutch pulled before it failed in favor of south bend dual disk completion clutch lol

do the 06 have an inspection plate with them being a sealed unit? never done much of anything with transmissions, a little nervous too lol

the plate is on the engine. its how you reach the bellhousing bolts. chances are if it did what you said, theres going to be fluid all over by the bellhousing because it lost pressure somehow (Which is usually the torque converter)

That light also can pop up if the t case gets stuck in neutral. But that’s usually accompanied by horrible noises

Well shit. Avalon brakes looking rough for wear. 4 years on these. Going to ride the pads out till they’re down to 2mm ideally. SOO going to cut the rotors bellow spec. But honestly not worried because they’re speced for a Venza, not an avalon. Perks of a big brake swap on an avalon?

Are there any retrofitted (junkyard/homebrew) rear sway bar setup for our trucks out there?

I've searched here a bit and have only seen the Addco, Hellwig and TRD (discontinued?).

Yeah, a 2003+ with the optional TRD rear bar could work. But that requires swapping diff housings for the brackets.

That said, I have been keeping an eye on junkyards within 100mi but haven't seen anything in 6+ months.

So I’m really just giving up on the all black interior and going for the black floor and headliner. If anyone comes across a art out in the Midwest with a decently clean grey interior I’m in the market for it from an access (or regular) cab truck. Light or dark grey. Ideally light because eventually the matching rear trim pieces may pop up for my regular cab...

    Some junk
I ordered and received the new steering shaft seal, but will likely not have time to install for a week or so since we are trying to find a new vehicle for the wife. I'm pushing for a gx470 or 460, but I digress...

I did a temporary repair that made my 100ish highway miles this weekend more enjoyable. I cut foam I had from my fox shocks boxes into little 1" thick x 1" sided 2ish" long strips and stuffed them into the metal steering shaft protector deal inside the truck under the dash. Seemed to quiet the exhaust tick I've been hearing and the wind noise. It's open cell foam (I think) so it's a temporary repair indeed. The foam is weak enough I'm not worried about binding the steering shaft. Obviously that's a. Concern when shoving things into and around a rotating shaft.

Did I read 'longtravel kit using factory parts'?
    Because that's what I'm hoping I've read.

GD Nissan guys can bolt Titan LCAs and aftermarket UCAs onto Xterras and whatever their midsize truck is called. Cool for them...frustrating for us/me.

In a pickle. Sitting here waiting for my other 3 tires to be delivered today and not sure what to do about wheels.
I already have a deposit on bronze FN wheels (17x8) but have always liked the Method Roost wheels (17x8.5)
I NEED to know which wheels are better lol.

Of the two I prefer the TRDs..the Methods are too busy IMHO....my favorites are SCS F5s in bronze or gun metal...

Aren't you really particular about how far the wheel sticks out and fills out that area? Seems like it makes more sense to go with the wider wheel. Do they both have the same backspace?

Agree with Speedtre that the TRD wheels look better.
