Any tips on removing scuffs/scratches from the top of the door panel? I’ve already tried some leather cleaner/conditioner, with minimal luck.

    Thanks!

Your problem/concern is a common one, and you aren't going to like the answer.

Many automotive interior panels are made of plastic that mimics the appearance and feel of more expensive materials inexpensively. Polypropylene is a common material used in Toyotas and other brands. Another is polyurethane (may be the case where your scratches located). The weakness of either plastic is that they are soft and easily scratched.

Once scratched, there is no effective way of removing the scratch without destroying the textured appearance of the part, which will leave a blemish worse than the original scratch (been there, done that). The only way to effectively remove your scratches is to replace the panel. I recommend growing accustomed to your Tundra's new face, while being "once burned, twice shy".

Other parts, such as seat belt buckle covers, require the strength of tougher plastics, and are molded of ABS. They don't scratch, but they are also hard in appearance and feel with no delusion of a softer material.

Thanks for the info. Since the scratches are actually on the top leather portion of the panel and not the plastic, I was hoping there was something that could be used to restore it.

Ah, my bad, I didn't realize that was leather.

You will have a better chance of natural leather wearing to an improved appearance over time. Use a premium leather care product uniformly over the leather surfaces to keep the leather soft, and raise the gloss of the scratched areas.

I have used Connally Hide Care for my leather in the past with good results, but not for scratch remediation. There may be better products. Use Search to check out Detailing Forum threads.
