Check the build link in my signature.
Drove it all around Portland and Beaverton with my girl riding shotgun running errands. No pics, but it was a beautiful spring day.

Refreshed the paint on the TRD rear sway bar. Also blacked out the hardware.

    Thank you sir!:hattip:

‘And that’s pretty BA! Great work as always man!

I debated about pulling my sway bars to paint them in B-red like I did the tow hooks and shackles...but one project at a time...

New Husky liners arrived so broke out the vacuum and swapped them in for the OEM ones. Crazy how much better these are!

Nice! I can't wait till my front ones arrive. They were supposed to arrive today, but I think FedEx is going to shaft me on delivery and I will see them Monday.

I have found FedEx to have a horrible track record for anything arriving on time. I had a package earlier this week that was “In Transit” in Portland for 6 days before they finally delivered. Took a total of almost two weeks to travel from Southern CA to Oregon.

Decided to change things up a little bit. C106E146-F0BF-4621-BFA4-1C816A1F85D0.jpg
This is how I was rolling.

Initially I bought a pro grille and sold the white surround, because I didn’t feel like buying the bulge too. They were pretty expensive five years ago. Now I think I paid as much for both the lower and upper grill pieces as I did for just the grill and surround four or five years ago. I liked the look but I wanted a change. Decided to make it my own by adding black Toyota inlays on the grile.

Keeping the chrome bumpers, I like the durability factor of the finish. More than once, I was happy they were chrome when having the front of my truck stuffed in a bush while trailing. So for now they stay.10EE0CD3-5D7F-445B-8A2B-9CE66DE6E261.jpg

Also went the easy and inexpensive route with some black overlays for the emblems. I was going to black out my wheels, but I think they help tie in the bumpers.

About six months ago I finally ditched the stock Michelin‘s and went with some BFG KO2s in 275/70r18. I was going to go bigger, but not ready for a re-gear yet. Plus I would probably want rims. I like spirited driving so I refuse to go 35s without upgrading my gears. I want 4.88 as it is LOL.

Recently, helped my buddy move to Lake Havasu. I was able to get 11.2 miles per gallon 60-65mph with a bed full of crap towing my buddies 68 XR7 Mercury cougar. And 14.2 on the way home Going 80 with a few stents to 90 approaching 100 LOL. Los Angeles to lake Havasu Arizona and back. A little traffic both ways. Used 4th gear most of the time in tow/haul, hit 5th on the flats or as long as my torque converter stayed locked. I think it was about 315 miles door to door.

    2C1A307F-E9FD-4F91-A2EE-625A4E1BB00A.jpg
luckily the load in the bed wasn’t very heavy, just bulky.

And... the xbull recovery boards along with my Agency6 hitch receiver shackle came!

I think with the arb weekender recovery kit, I may have a decent start on recovery gear once I hit some trails this season!

May need a full size spare though instead of the 255 under the bed.

Anyone have experience trails with stock Bridgestone duelers?

Made a little change to the Tuna. I had these light bars as reverse and switched with my Matt Gecko LED bed lights. They're bright as all heck, but just decided they were too big, just didn't look right and didn't need that much juice. Was also worried about them getting damaged as I do 4Wheel the truck often. So went with these neat cargo squares, just Amazon cheapies, but work just as good!!!!!

Just put these I force running boards/ steps on my tundra. They seem pretty solid and were a good price(375 cad) and I like the look. Hopefully the powder coating isn't too cheap.

Thank you for the great suggestions. Can't do winch cause I have a bumper lightbar coming in and don't need one but fridge/bed mounted 12v seems like a good idea.... wish they weren't so expensive though

I have a few ideas. It will be a custom build for sure unless I get stupid lucky and find a random cover for some truck that would work. The Leitner storage boxes will be my limiting factor since they will be above the rails and rule out any kind of folding option.

    Im thinking:

    - Solid 1 piece cover that can be removed and used as a table or something useful.
    - A rollable cover of sorts
    - A multi piece hard cover with hinges that fold back on each other (for lack of a better explanation)

Each have their pros and cons. No matter the style, I plan on making a cutout that fits around the support bar for the Leitner rack so that the cover won't have gaps.

Truck feels more planted on corners and curves. Turning into parking lots and drive ways the truck bed doesn’t roll over near as bad. My truck has the “sport” package so I’m sure the red/blue shocks combined with the 20’s and sway bars play a big part in how the truck is handling!

Nobody likes the rollup covers? They take up too much space?

I like the one piece slide in/out concept which converts to a table. That sounds awesome.
