Yeah, considering that. I'll look into the BORA, I really know nothing about spacers TBH. I just never liked the idea of a spacer having the stress of a 80lb tire and 20lb wheel and getting driven pretty hard just not sure if this is a legitimate worry.

Waiting patiently for my truck to arrive and gobbling up information. If anyone is interested...
Because of how my brain works, backspacing, I feel, is a more 'real world' measurement of where the tire is placed with respect to the stock wheel. Offset varies with wheel width so it can become confusing to compare offset for different wheels if they differ in width. Back spacing is always the same, and you can pull a tape on it.

    Stock 18s: 18x8, 60mm Offset = 6.86" back spacing
    17x8.5 +25mm = 5.73" ~ Wheel face outward 1.63"
    +12mm = 5.22"~ Wheel face outward 2.14"
    +0mm = 4.75"~ Wheel face outward 2.61"

Unless I fudged that all up...

I know this is kind of jacking this thread, but I couldn't wait for the FN wheels so I thought I would at least share another similar option I came across

If anyone wants a wider stance and wheels right now I ended up going with a different wheel pretty close to the 5 star (which was my choice)
They have 17x8.5 in either 0 or -10 offset. I went with -10 to for sure clear my coachbuilder steering kit (after installation, 0 would have been enough)
I can't clear with +18 or 25 and would need spacers and I didn't want to go that route.

    Black lugs are on order.

    22lbs for 0,
    24lbs for-10

I'll grab some pics later to show how far out they stick from fender... -10is quite a a bit but I personally like the look. Also I just ripped off my flares so once I put on a new set it won't look like sticking out as far.

For some reason I didn’t see the alerts for this thread.

Spoke with Dustin and everything is still in the pipeline.

COVID has really screwed up manufacturing everywhere though. King and Fox are looking at 6+ month back orders, video cards are imaginary creatures, semiconductors for Tundras are practically non existent.

Unfortunately these wheels are no different. Currently production is aimed for a month or so later than estimated and it sounds like a June or July thing now.

Again though guys, these will be in the low 20lb range and will be price competitive, likely lower than others while being lighter as well. I know it’s a wait, but promise it will be worth it.

Wish you could have weighed them prior to mounting.
Not calling BS at all, I just know that so many advertised weights are wrong.

Ive had SCS wheels 3 times and they even advertised to the 1/10ths. The weights of the actual wheels on my scale were typically a lb heavier than advertised.

My Icon Rebounds were reported at 26lbs when I contacted Icon, yet actual weight was 28.5lbs.

I’ve just become hesitant to believe advertised weights.

I did have SSRs once that were exactly as advertised, my FNs have been accurate too. Just another reason I prefer them.

I saw method started posting weights but I still don’t know how accurate they are. I may buy some Methods to run until the FNs arrive, I’ll post accurate weights if I do.

I didn't think to get the actual weight, I bought them through discount tire and only looked at them before I had them mount them to my new tires. I didn't know that some companies are not truthful with their numbers, that is B.S. that companies would do that.
For me it came down to timing (needed new wheels sooner) and I can't run +18 or 25 with my suspension without spacers. A pound or two on the wheels considering the overall weight of my truck was also not a big concern.

Not knocking FN wheels at all (i had them on my 4Runner and loved them) I am just showing a different wheel option that I found if someone wants wheels with a different offset and are available now.

I hope they do hit the June-July target, with Covid things are so F'd up I just couldn't wait, particularly as June-July could turn into Aug-Sep...

No harm at all, truck actually looks great the way it is now with the Kanseis. I do like the design, I don't understand why SCS is reluctant to run a 17" or 18" version of the F5. At least there's these, and once the 5 star comes out there will be 2 choices.

I dont know if they mean to misadvertise when they get the weights wrong, but checked Kansei's site and even the listing page has 2 weights listed.

    kansei.jpg

One part says 22-23, which is unlikely without being forged, not impossible, just unlikely.

The other above is 25.9 lbs for the 0 offset and 27 lbs for -10.

I'm not sure if Discount has mounted my spare (they forgot to order the 5th initially. I will see, if they haven't I will see if they can get a weight. I am really curious now what the actual weight is

Is this group buy still going on? How do I get on it? I'm down for six shooters in bronze. But I'm looking for them for my 4runner. Don't mind waiting a bit either.

So ideally 17X8 6x139.7mm 0 or -10 offset. Would that work for this group buy? Let me know what I need to do to confirm to be on it!

    Thanks for doing this!

Everything has been delayed thanks to Covid. I plan to touch base next month as the last update had pushed production back a little.

As far as a group buy, it would most likely be for Tundra bolt patterns only. The main goal for this was to get some 17" 5x150s made since FN no longer makes them in 17s. You can get the 6x139.7s anytime as long as they have stock, so I cant make any promises regarding a discount for those.

I'm a noob to wheels but if I replace my stock 1794 rims, I'm getting the FN f(x) Pros. I'm in no hurry though. Following to see if the group buy comes through.

I'll reply and be nice since my previous rig was a Runner. But, Yeah I would recommend posting over there.
Not quite 6-shooters but I ran these wheels on my 3rd gen and loved them:

I Love them. Not sure on what to review. They are nice wheels, I like them and get lots of complements so I am very happy with the purchase.
With my suspension setup they don't rub and I like the wider stance of -10 offset.
