I’ve been figuring ways to form this hose. I think slipping a few copper fittings (long 90°, and a couple 45°’s) over the outside of the 3/8” hose to achieve close form and then using a heat gun or some flame to meld the form into memory. Remove fittings and viola!

It took me quite a few tries tweaking it.

When I first got it I didn't understand that it was a beam/spot. It beams straight out but goes up and down. When I started lighting up the monkeys in the tree tops I thought something was wrong.

I tweaked it a lot, and finally aimed it using a hill. Aiming that on a building just wasn't working out for me.

I like this idea. Probably wouldn't be able to remove the fittings though. The bends are pretty abrupt.

A little loving lube and some finesse works. The copper fittings don’t need to be on that tight. Just enough to get the bends close.

Good idea, you could also go from the other side, pre bend a copper tube(same as ID of rubber) then insert into tube, then put the tube in oven or heat gun, then you know it’s not kinked inside, let it cool and remove “stint”

Yeah good one. Lots of work bending a full length pipe without special bending tools. The fittings are cheap and you can return them when finished! Keeping things Low Dolla.

I need to figure out that damned relay box that keeps kicking my tired, cold ass.

May take the ole girl out to one of my electrician buddies. My brain is fubar'd after work usually.

Better idea, this might be worth a try. Still... bending a copper tube of any diameter can be difficult without kinking. Maybe a solid copper wire that is 3/8" dia? Even braided copper wire might work... like battery cable.

Nice one. I’d step it down in size smaller so you can slip it out.

Get some 1/4” or 5/16” braided cable and form the bends. Go to town with heat and then quench it in the Colorado Snow Drifts or an ice bath tub.

I don't think braided cable is rigid enough to do the job.
This is some of the pin stock I use for knife making... might be the ticket. Comes in different diameters so can be downsized. https://www.makermaterialsupply.com...rod-copper-brass-stainless-steel-1pc-or-5-pcs

Looks doable. Getter dun and report back. Maybe order a smaller diameter rod ‘just in case’ your 3/8” one doesn’t slip out the way you think it will once the bends are achieved.

French Toasty idea about slow baking might be the best idea along with your rods. 300° for 3 hours. Throw some cookies in while you watch. Win win!

This will be a back burner project unless my current fix fails. I'll add the pin stock next time I order knife making supplies, it's on the list. If I do it, I'll definitely post a pictorial.

Well I’ll do a little test run on some Tubing today with some removed old extra hoses from the TB Job.

Going to drop my Spare Tire and Oil the last parts of the frame back there in the hard to reach areas. I found a Long Handle Paint Brush on the side of the road and used that last time for the middle frame areas between the front/back wheels and rear axle. She looks better than Showroom underneath right now with basic Grease and Oil (under $20 for full frame). Need to touch up BBQ Shpray the Muffler Tip due to drippings.
