The thing is you still need to raise most cars to get under them with one. Unfortunately I broke mine rolling under a car with it.

Very true, but lots of room under the Tunny to be comfy.

Thanks all I knew I could count on honesty and a some good sarcasm comedy here..... I thought this suggestion sounded lazy too.:thumbsup:
I always change my filter with the oil change around 4k in all my cars...(what Dad always said to do) The filter set up and location is a pain in the arse on Tundra's tho

I also change my skivvies with each shower :rimshot:

Yeah, filter location isn't great. My 07 Tundra was the first vehicle I didn't change my own oil regularly. No front driveway here and rear driveway is gravel up to the garage which is too small. Can't use a creeper in gravel. My oil change guy is only 3 blocks down the street. No fuss no muss. I provide my filter and he provides the Mobile-1 although you'd be ok with any quality synthetic oil. If you have a place where you can use a creeper, changing the oil out is fairly guick.

Why wouldn't you change the filter with every oil change? The filter is only about $4.00 at the dealer.

Hi RitcheyRch, I think this suggestion wasn't about $$ it just came from laziness and maybe access.... Implying... if the filter and oil lasts 10k and the oil gets changed @ 3k and looks good then the filter still has 7k "life" in it...

The oil filter is one of the most important things to change and look at (and I do) to tell me how the engine is doing every 3 or 4k.

The manual says this "with filter, without filter" statement... o_O
